You are forgetting that we are living in a post Total Divas world, where more Hoes and Mos are watching the product than ever before, and WWE is trying to create main stream stars. The Bella Twins were two of the most useless bitches in the WWE Universe but now thanks to their success on E! they are future Hall Of Famers. The Miz? Would have never had a chance if he wasnt on The Real World and sustained his TV time on subsequent RW vs RR challenges. This isnt a pure wrestling company, they are entertainment. There is literally nothing in that post about balor. No one gives a ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) if the wrestler is hot. Hogan was 90 years old his entire career. The ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) er was going bald as fast as he was rising. I guess I'm focusing more on how Cena has transcended WWE than anybody else. Nobody gives a ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) about how The Rock was booked in 1997 now that he is the highest paid actor in the biz. The thread is about who is going to be the next Cena, the face of the company. Keep up. Cena has attained main stream celebrity status because he has a ridiculous body, he is likable and is capable of being funny when fed the right lines. If he was shaped like Mick Foley he would have never made it out of OVW. I'm saying Kevin Owens will never be the face of WWE, because he is fat. Whoever is the next face of the WWE will have to be attractive, likable and funny. It's a lot easier to screen for the first one which is why it has taken so long for them to find an alternative to Cena. If it makes you feel any less dirty, replace all of my gawking over the male form with "He's got the look."

So I guess Sasha banks has the same body as Cena, because you keep flip flopping your response to suit how you feel and support your mood at the time. I love when people bring up Mick Foley. The guy is a wrestler whos sold more books than most authors.

And I didn't change my response about anything, I was adding onto the discussion about Balor. I still think Sasha Banks will be the face of the company eventually. She is an amazing wrestler who can totally fill the biracial celebrity obsessed equal rights having culture America lives in. She needs better writers and a few honest people around her to critique her acting. I feel like maybe she's getting her c*** sucked by too many people because of her amazing wrestling and she isn't focused on the acting part. I love wrestling though, so I'm happy to see an awesome match even if there is sh***y character development. Not everyone is the same way. I mean really, these are characters. A certain amount of characters on television have to be f***able. Why does Eva Marie still have a job?

OP, I was reading your post until you started talking about The Miz being the new guy... ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing hell. The Miz has as much business being the guy as James Ellsworth has being in the WWE in general (and that's no ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing business at all).

I just think Roddy will improve. Balor seems to have gotten a pass to the main roster despite his primo work lacking. I do have to agree with his promo work and I believe the Demon gimmick is what saved him from being a mid/lower carder like Zayn and Neville. No one else from NXT has debut and won a main title within weeks. Owens debuted in May, lost the NXT title in July, and was IC champ by September, that's not bad.

I don't think that guy is on the roster.
Roman Reigns was the pick. He failed, and he continues to fail. Daniel Bryan had the groundswell of support to take over that "top guy" position, but he never would have had the reach that Cena did. CM Punk was the closest thing they had, in terms of merchandise sales and general popularity, but his look, coupled with his attitude more or less ensured that he was never going to be the big mainstream face of the company. They could've given it a shot just the same, but they stifled it instead.
As previously mentioned, The Miz is the closest thing they have in terms of work ethic and media savvy, but he's just not that guy that can carry the company.
Ambrose is too quirky. Rollins hasn't caught on. Styles is too old. Owens doesn't have the look.
They have to go with a committee of guys for the time being.

I think J12 nailed it. There will be a lot of work horse guys that deserve it, but that guy like Hogan, Austin, Rock, or Cena that transcend wrestling in popularity doesn't seem there yet. Miz isn't a bad guess given his MTV history, but he's out grown that. His persona is also one dimensional where it works best as a true heel. Lol IMO Ryder had a better shot leading up to his US title run. Like him or not the dude was getting hot and his gimmick played off of the Jersey Shore which again, like it or not was popular.

There will never be another John Cena. He is a one of a kind superstar. There will be more top stars, but he will never be "replaced"

Looks like a collective Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns have taken over as the top guys , I don't see one person in particular taking over as "THE guy" for the time being though. Maybe if AJ Styles was younger.

It's obviously Tino Sabatelli...
In all seriousness though, Cena is his own entity. It's the same thing as "Who's going to be the next Hogan, Rock, Austin, Undertaker, etc".
I think the next big stars in the company are Owens/Zayn. It'll be a combination. Once they're both in the main event I'm sure we'll see them tag together, break up, and be even bigger enemies than before.
I don't think any of the Shield guys have what it takes to constantly be on top, they all have Orton-like ceilings. Sure they might be in the main event, but they're not the TOP guys.
Styles, Nakamura, and Joe are all on the wrong side of 30, so it won't be them.
Balor is a real possibility if he can stay healthy.

Jason Jordan. Once his time with American Alpha runs it coarse, I think he might be ready to break out into a successful singles career. His size, his look, and his move set all play into him eventually being a WWE headliner.

Unfortunately the guys at top of that list are just too old to realistically take that spot for long (Fin,AJ)
Reigns was supposed to be that guy but doesn't lok like thats ever going to happen with his crowd reactions

OP you lost all credibility when you said The Jiz. If that douche bag takes over Cena's spot, I'm done with wrestling. Really though, Miz is alot like Jeff Jarrett in that he could never be the white meat baby face Cena is because nobody likes him, he has a douche bag persona and he sucks in the ring. He will forever be a heel. Therefore he can never take that spot.
Having said that, other than that asshat, who cares who takes Cena's spot? As long as Cena leaves, I'm happy.

Even though they're the same age, I think AJ Styles is more than good enough to overtake Cena as the face of the company. As it stands right now, he's THE guy on the roster. I'm actually shocked at how much confidence Vince has had in AJ, I never thought he'd rise to the top this quickly given where he came from. I wasn't even sure he'd ever become a top guy in WWE. It makes me happy that Vince sees what a remarkable performer Styles truly is. He obviously knows he can rely on him to deliver the goods night after night, much like Bret Hart did in his prime.
