Perfect sense to me mate. I'm not trying to be funny or cute, but you really spent all day spreading misinformation and its not cool. You have to go by the packaging changes or what Mattel announced. You can't just say that since you bought a figure a few weeks before its expected time frame that you can outright change lineups and timeframes. You can't say things like "Maybe they've changed it to 5 a year. We'll know this time next year." because we always get the next years releases a few weeks before that year. I've always grabbed the new packaging updates at the end of November or in December. Following the reintroduction with Ric Flair, the Defining Moments have been one per quarter for four per year. From Ringside Fest 2016, Bill shows Ric Flair and Shinsuke Defining Moments, he refers to Shinsuke at 5:55 as "that will be the SECOND Defining Moment that comes out this year" and he also holds his fingers up to show the number two. But how can that be? How can the head designer of the company that produces these figures say its the second? You bought it in December though... How about this, from San Diego Comic Con, Bill shows Ric Flair and says, and I'm quoting, "this morning we revealed the first Defining Moment for 2017, it is Ric Flair from, uh, WrestleMania 24 in instantly iconic blue entrance robe " I know you're not ignorant, but seriously, stop spreading this around. This place flourishes when we're all on the same page and we all tell truthful statements. Its exactly like people who said that since Target wasn't replenishing their stock that they stopped selling Elites. Just because it happened to them and they started saying something doesn't make it true. In 2016, the series were: Elite - 39 to 45 + the Legends wave Basic - 56 to 66 Battle Pack - 37 to 42 Defining Moments - Stone Cold / Sting / Ultimate Warrior / John Cena Ringside Exclusive - Kevin Nash / Chris Jericho / Sting I see what you mean. It's like with WWE 2K17, Fifa 17 and other sports games. They're released in 2016 but they're actually next years games. I always see packagings as a good way to group by year myself but everyone has their own opinion. Like Bill says next year, so I would personally count them as 2017 figures.

All this. The first Mattel figures were available in 2009. That doesn't make them 2009 figures, because the official launch date was 01/01/2010.

I like Asuka, she's really colorful and the patterns are really well executed, E46 Finn, NS HBK, E41 123 Kid, and TNF Bam Bam are good too.

1. Finn Baylor 2. HBK WM.14 3. Sting D.M. 4. Undertaker SDCC 5. C.M. Punk r.s.c.

customania the thing with games is that the season straddles 2 years, so it's 2016/17 season so the games are both years

Ringside Collectibles Exclusive - Straight Edge Society CM Punk Congratulations on winning your sixth year in a row! 1st I said the figure must be from 2016 so that does not count 2nd everybody arguing about what qualifies as a "2016 figure" is giving me a headache any figure available for purchase during 2016 regardless of box style counts. Debate DELETED! *ahem* I ment Debate Over. Well, in all fairness his figure is available for purchase in 2016. Just a quick search showed 7 for sale on eBay. You should have been more specific. Of course for me it is clearly the DM '90 GAB Sting a figure it took me 26 years to finally get. Runner up - Lost Legends Magnum TA

Male Figure: Finn Balor (Elite 41) Female Figure - Naomi (Basic 67) ^^ Sasha, Asuka & Bayley were very, VERY close however, the face on this Naomi to me is really underrated.

To me, figure(s) of the year should be perfect right out of the package. There were a great many figures that could have been number one if it wasn't for minor issues, e.g., Shockmaster and Tugboat should have had swapped heads, ECW Funk without his Funk U shirt, Samoa Joe if his QC issues weren't so rampant. Also, too hard to not break this down by category. Anyway ...
Women's Division: Natalya Honorable mention: Bayley (basic)
Flashback: Umaga HM: Tugboat (if only they'd switched the heads!), IRS
Basic: Erick Rowan - Just a big, fun chunk of plastic. HM: Kalisto (Series 60) - Not even a fan, but a great deco and looks awesome in package.
Elite: Tyson Kidd - Honestly, I don't know if I'm trying to be different or avoid the Balor hype train, but Kidd is everything I want in these figures. Accuracy, accessories, excellent likeness, hand candy. Just a really great figure. HM: Dudley Boyz, Samoa Joe (mine has a stuck joint), Finn Balor
