I've said this elsewhere, but it boils down to two things for me: 1: The champion needs to be strong. Bouncing the belt around makes it mean nothing. The winner of the tournament (and I definitely wouldn't have chosen TJ Perkins) should still be champion, and continuing to best each challenger. He should have been a heel with personality who can actually generate heat. For that reason it should've been Kendrick, and as I said before he should still be champion. 2: Everyone is bland and boring besides Kendrick (although I really liked what I saw from Neville this past Monday even if he was channeling Drew Galloway). Rich Swann looks like a homeless guy living under a bridge dancing for spare change. TJ Perkins has awesome music, but no personality. Tony Nese, Noam Dar....zzzzzzzz. They also don't really have any big stars aside from Neville and arguably Kendrick. If they'd gotten Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr. we might not even be having this conversation (although I'd still have given it to Kendrick and had them chase him for it for awhile). That's my opinion, and that's pretty much what is keeping me away. I have high hopes for Neville though. The way they bounce that belt around he'll be the next champion by the first of the year. The next champion needs to be booked strongly, and should hold it until Wrestlemania if they have any hope of getting this thing off of the ground. LOL, that is also exactly what I think everytime I see him. No explanation is given as to why he is smiling and dancing all the time. He might as well be the 4th member of New Day.

I also don't like how quick that cruiserweight title is changing hands - once every couple of weeks a different guy is holding it, the belt is already becoming meaningless, WWE's approach towards it is: 'Perkins it's yours this week' 'Kendrik it's yours next week' 'Swann if you be a good boy it's your the next week'
their just handing the title to people like it's a bag of sweets.

Why it failed in 3 pictures: I'm enjoying the cruiserweights now they're developing more characters, but those pictures sum up why it was always doomed as a division. Wrestling has evolved since 1997 WCW. Little skinny guys can win the real belts now. The main event guys put the work in. The cruiserweight division guys rarely do stuff that is significantly more impressive than what the likes of AJ Styles and Seth Rollins do, so there's no unique appeal. It's like Triple H read some "push the cruisers" complaints online from 2004 and decided to make the CWC, then didn't have much beyond that. Fortunately thanks to the likes of Neville and Gallagher etc, it's turning around a little.
