Gillette was in consideration and was shot down due to weather and distance between the other arenas and amenities. Feel free to rule FedEx field and Lincoln Financial out as well since snow in April is not out of the question. Folks, it's simple. Outdoor venues in the south, domes in the north, or MSG. Pick one. If you live in a cold weather city, you aren't getting Wrestlemania. WM 29 in NJ says hello.

I'm sure management was watching the Weather Channel like a hawk. We can edit the post to say you have a 1 in 34 chance of getting a Wrestlemania if you want? lol

I still think Orlando offers the best Wrestlemania option in the United States. Plenty of transportation, one of the easiest airports to get in and out of in the country, plenty to do leading up to the event, great food. I'm personally not sure why they would go anywhere else. Having been to the stadium in DC I can tell you that I would rather stay home than deal with navigating my way out of that place afterwards.

WWE has said in the past they were interested in hosting here in Philly in the future. On top of that like I said before, after the success of WM 29 they are more comfortable in having them in the northeast cities.

However, just looking at the weather last year on April 3rd the high was 41 degrees in Philly. Tough sell.

I remember reading some article stating WWE liked how the facilities were perfect for WM in Philly. Personally if they had it here it would be a success IMO. Yeah the cold weather could be an issue but in all honesty that shouldn't be a reason to ignore the cities with outdoor stadiums.

Madison Square Garden in New York City. Long over due. Unless the back row tickets are costing high hundreds of dollars, I can't see MSG making that stadium money as a Mania venue. Maybe another PPV, or a Raw. But definitely not Mania. You are 100% correct. Unless Vince want's to run it for 'old times sake', and flush about 10 million dollars down the toilet, MSG isn't getting another Mania. Here's some math: WM31 - 12.6 million gate w/ 76,976 attendance. Avg ticket price = $163.00 WM32 - 17.3 million gate w/ 101,763 attendance(possibly inflated). Avg ticket price = $170.00 Avg gate = 14.95 million. Avg ticket price = $166.50 So assuming Vince would like to make around that much, and MSG's capacity is maybe 20,000 or less with staging, your avg ticket price would be around $747.50. If Vince is feeling generous, and only wants to make WrestleMania 30 money(10.9 million), your avg ticket price drops to $545.00.

The WWE has to reveal real attendance figures to shareholders and the actual attendance from WM32 was 93,730. Wrestlemania 31's attendance was actually closer to 67,000 and drew less fans than a NHL game held at the same stadium a few weeks earlier. Also, the WWE got lucky with Wrestlemania 29 in terms of the weather. IIRC, the temperature was in the 60s and sunny that day which is higher than usual that time of year.

All it does is raise the average ticket price for those events by about $20, assuming the gate amount is correct. I wasn't going for 100% accuracy(just like WWE reporting), just showing those that think MSG should get another Mania, why that might not happen.

I'm happy NOLA is getting it again. Great city. Transport was iffy staying on the outskirts but once you got into town, you could walk everywhere.

WWE doesn't do many Television shows in MSG due to the Union issues in the building. Sadly that has effected having WrestleMania there again or many, if any Television tapings.

-- Personally, would love for 'Mania to be held in:
Philly, PA Minni, MN - brand new Vikings Stadium L.A., CA Vegas, NV
...and MSG in NY, NY: With the limited capacity, either hike the prices up for this 1 particular 'Mania that can be dubbed, "ONE MORE TIME". OR Hold a World-wide lotto drawing, where anybody can purchase a lotto ticket for 100.00 (buy as many as you want, to increase your chances). The downfall, you can end up dumping a lot of money for nothing. However, the upside is you win an opportunity to purchase 1-8 tickets (standard Ticketmaster rules). If you pass on the chance after winning, there's a select reserve of "runner ups" who are then chosen to be given the opp you passed on.
Am also not against the idea of holding a multi-city WM, similar to WM2. There's certainly enough broadcasters and talent (and production crew) to make it a possibility. Those in attendance in 1 city, get to enjoy a LIVE match, then 1 or 2 (depending how many cities) matches on the tron screens, before getting to witness another LIVE match.
--
In the future, as Trips stated, NXT will grow and eventually be on the same level as SDL & RAW. That being said, to cram 3 brands into 1 night of action is NOT going to be enough time. Therefore, either an ALL DAY WrestleMania will have to occur OR begin a new WM concept: 2-Night Showcase For The Immortals

This is a quote from Vince Mcmahon in 2015 about Chicago getting another WM but overall this should put the rest the theory about all cold weather cities not having a chance at getting Mania.
“I wouldn’t say Chicago is out of the running. We can do colder environments. We went to (MetLife) Stadium (in New Jersey). People wear coats to football. Why won’t they were jackets and so forth to Wrestlemania? They will. Chicago will definitely be in the running in the future.”
