Good question, I've often wondered that myself. For the price Mattel charges you'd think they'd get someone who'd make sure everything's accurate down to the eyelashes. Little hard when the designer is in cali and the plant is in china. I assume most these screw ups happen due to Miscommunication with the plant and hq Hey they have the same footage & reference photos in China that they do in Cali. Perhaps those folks in China need to pay a little closer attention to what they're doing. 😜 |

look at the brightside. Lugers boots have been only made in white before. So u can swap white ones onto this. And put the black ones on a custom for when they eventually release that Luger head w/o the facepaint as a basic.

I'm having issues with photobucket & tinypic, they run slow as heck now.... can anyone recommend a better photo sharing site? I made a late night Walmart run last night & scored with the new BATB 3-pack! Shhh.... they were still on the pallet, I cracked open the case myself & took it to a self-checkout register (praying that it would scan & no questions would be asked)..... it did. Sting looks okay.... not Mattel's best work, but not the worst either..... if I can get my photos uploaded properly I'll be doing a full photo post with all my recent pickups!    Happy New Year! |

Looks better with the white boots. I'm heading to US in April for Mania and was hoping to find this along with TNF2, HOF4 and 2 packs, but if the correct version with white boots shows up on the bay (or a fellow member wants a reasonable price) I'll just pull the trigger. Looks great with the White boots. Great job Mattel.

Why in the world would they make Luger's boots black when they were white? I mean they have the footage. How does that kind of mistake happen? Good question, I've often wondered that myself. Ive worked retail for many years and am now a merchandiser for a company which has me going in and out of the back rooms of many stores (walmart included) and to my knowledge once an item comes off that truck its scanned in or its already in the stores sytsem once its on a truck and leaves a warehouse on a pallet. the only thing done at store level with an item would be tags,setting shelf capacities and inventory counts(cycle counts). So I wonder in the tracker for walmart just isnt as accurate as the target one. thanks again and ill continue the blind hunt in my area for these. |

Where do u live & did yours have a black or white boots Luger? I live in Delaware, and the Luger has black boots. I was disappointed, but still could not pass up the opportunity to buy this set. Can't guarantee I'll ever see the white boots version..... It would appear that these just came in on Monday. I wanted to search for more (Hasbros, TNF Elite singles) but didn't see them on the pallet. I was already a bit nervous about cracking open the case myself! I'll probably be stopping back after work today to see if they put anything else out overnight....  |

Great idea for a pack (which I actually suggested a while back). Just a shame Mattel wasn't quick enough to do a 2nd pack to complete the lineup while Nash, Hall AND Hogan were under contract... The new Sting headscan looks pretty good, decent likeness. Way better than the first surfer scan which was a very poor likeness. This would look AMAZING repainted to his white-facepaint debut (with the unpainted chin) which was also significant for being the last time Sting spoke in like a year. That look needs a figure so badly but I fear Mattel may not remember the promo enough to recognise it's importance. The new Luger head... eh... it's OK, good to see a ponytail version but I really wanted a serious Luger instead of pouting/smirking or whatever that's supposed to be. Still would be good to see this head used again (sans facepaint of course) for a Wolfpac Luger in future. Shame they couldn't have used the awesome face of the TNF Macho Man for the amazing likeness and tweak it to have his loose hairstyle. Hope to see many more WCW themed packs like this please MattelDesignTeam. And do some wrestlecrap multi-packs too like Dungeon Of Doom. |
