It's been a good launch show I suppose. Productions ten times better. Hopefully more wrestling goin forward

Tonight just reeked of desperation.
I know that people complained over the past few years how TNA Impact wasn't as good as it was in like 2006 or so, but that was a whole different era for TNA. I thought in the past six months or so, TNA really hit a stride with the Broken Hardys, Drew Galloway, Maria and The Miracle, and all those guys were missing tonight, which I thought hurts TNA.
I just feel that with Jeff, Dutch and Bruce in control, they wanna make it like it was 10 years ago. And those days are long gone.

What a terrible show. TNA is STILL doing the whole "put the world title on the former WWE guy" crap. This show actually mentioned WWE so much, I thought it was on the network.

What a terrible show. TNA is STILL doing the whole "put the world title on the former WWE guy" crap. This show actually mentioned WWE so much, I thought it was on the network. It really seemed like they were desperately trying to get people's attention by mentionning WWE a lot. Also trying to be edgy is not always a very good idea. I mean saying 'bitch' and STONE COLD and whatnot doesn't make you a better company... |

They have wwe ties to some degree and if they're using it as a starting point to get a rub, can't blame them. The problem will be if like before they do nothing but depend on wwe for their identity. |

I saw the clips on their Youtube channel. I wanna say i plan to watch the show, but i dont know how i gonna get through listening to an hour and a half of Josh Matthews attempting to be like heel Michael Cole. Does Impact Wrestling think we wanna see Matthews as a character? Jesus i got a headache listening to Josh, and i didn't even watch the whole show. From the clips, the wrestling was good, i have no complaints there. As soon as the new characters are established, ill judge more. Ill say this, because of this new character Josh Matthews has, he just made #1 on the worst commentators list today, at least for me. I would much rather listen to David Otunga on commentary than Josh Matthews. I hope this leads to a story where Josh gets booted off of commentary and leave JB with The Pope.

It seemed like they were going back to the 2002-2003 days where there was WAY more WWE mentions and attempts to be edgy than in 2004-2006. I'm surprised they didn't bring back the cage dancers lol |

Josh Matthews is really annoying and not in a good way. He's just flat out annoying. And I'm really tired of wrestlers using wrestling lingo on stage. Please do not use the words spot, heel, face, rib, while giving a promo or commentating.
I liked the episode. But Del Rio winning with a belt was cheap. Have they ever booked lashley .vs. moose?

As I mentioned in the other thread, please do not comment in here on people who are coming in based on the spoilers thread posted elsewhere. I let some mention of Alberto El Patron coming in stay, but deleted others that mentioned him winning the title. I should have deleted them all in hindsight. For the future posts, please do not comment on those who who have not yet debuted or are returning until after it is televised.

I watched the full show last night. Holy s*** is Josh Matthews annoying as f***. It was so hard to concentrate on the matches because you have Josh Matthews and Jeremy Borash bickering. If im ever going to fully enjoy Impact Wrestling, they have to either quit this stupid annoying Josh Matthews gimmick bickering with JB, or just completely take him off TV. He can work backstage for all i care. The Pope is a decent color commentator IMO, basically he's got room to improve. I like JB on commentary,not as much as i enjoyed Mike Tenay, but he's good. I felt bad for the wrestlers in the ring because the commentary was so bad.

I can listen to JB a lot more than any of the others they have. They need to get out the broom and get rid of Matthews and Pope and Don West needs to go too. They need to end Aron Rex's career, turn him back into Sandow and make him an announcer with JB. I would have said Eli Drake, since he can talk as well as anyone they have, but he is not to the point of retiring yet.
