With the Rumble coming I'm watching some classic ones but earlier today I watched the 2010 for the first time since it aired.
Now my question is why was everyone so vulnerable during that match? Mid carders were like weak jobbers who got eliminated within minutes after entering and main eventers didn't last either. Look at Punk, HHH, Kane and Jericho they didn't even make it to number 30 and I believe no more than 5 people were in the ring at once. It actually felt a video game Royal Rumble where eliminations are quick and can happen to anyone. One of my friends was actually at the event and he said lots of people were pissed at how weak the match was booked.

I thought 2010 Rumble match was really good compared to 2011, 2012 and 2013.
The entire Rumble match was based around one thing.... can HBK survive it to face Undertaker at Wrestlemania for the Title. That's all it was. Until entrant 29 hit and that was the returning Edge. Then it was all about Edge winning it.

Nearly everyone left that match looking like crap and the quick eliminations made no sense and the match only lasted 50 minutes aswell which made it very short. IMO HBK Cena Edge Batista HHH Jericho Kofi Hardy Punk They should've been the last men in the match after 30 with Jericho and Edge being the final 2 which would've made sense since they were feuding at the time. The 2010 Rumble reminds me of the 2002 Rumble with the only difference being that more action happened in the 2002 one.

I've hated most of the Rumbles over the last 15 or so years, and the 2010 is one of the worst. They used to just be exciting hour long battle royals, but for the past decade or so they've been too overbooked and filled with guys laying around on the mat watching two other guys pull off a spot.
