That's like saying "I want Kurt Angle back" when you have Chad Gable in the WWE. "Tell me you didn't just say that!" - Booker T I did say that! Kurt Angle is a shell of his former self. Anyone that has watched TNA Wrestling for the past 5 years can easily see that. There was that sweet era in 2009 and 2010 when Kurt would stare off blankly at nothing because he was so pilled up. Kurt can come back and go into the WWE Hall of Fame. That would be great. But by no means do I want to see Kurt Angle competing in a WWE ring again. I said the same thing about Sting and I was right about that. Once these wrestlers get to a certain age, they need to get out of the business. Its a young man's business.

It's a mix of me wanting them in the wwe and nostalgia.

So really, what it comes down to is that a wrestling fan can not, will not, and never will be.... happy.

My favorite wrestler is John Cena and I'm actually okay with Reigns even though he pisses me off at certain moments.

I know, and my post wasn't a bash onto you. It was just generalizing the wrestling fans that you often see voicing their opinion. They want new stars to be made, but want these old relics to return like Shelton Benjamin. Shelton captured 3 IC Titles, 1 US Title and 2 Tag Titles in his WWE career. What could he possibly do now if he came back to the WWE and at the age he is at?? The only thing that would make sense, if he and Angle returned, formed a team and put over American Alpha like crazy, showing the WWE universe that these two young guys are the future and that Benjamin and Angle are old news.

Yeah, wrestling fans push so hard for a guy to pushed and then they reach the top and people start to turn on them. The only person I haven't seen that happen to is Aj because Aj is arguably one of the greatest of all time.

Why do people want Shelton back?? I rather have the younger version of him, Jason Jordan. That's like saying "I want Kurt Angle back" when you have Chad Gable in the WWE. I don't understand why wrestling fans want the WWE to do new things with new stars, but still want these old relics from 10 - 15 years ago to return and end up doing nothing.
Seriously I don't get wrestling fans obsession. with seeing Lesnar/Goldberg Taker/Sting or Taker/Cena. all it's going is take time away form the new stars they claim they want to see. Is your keyboard broken?

My biggest worry is what would they do with Shelton? Look how bad they used Kurt Hawkins. How can Shelton come in and be important if they couldn't do it to someone who took his spot after his injury.

Is your keyboard broken? How much time do these new guys need? They have a whole calendar year while these part timers come in for Wrestlemania season to get all types of fans to watch the show.

It's okay for these part-timers to come in and have marquee matches at Mania. They shouldn't, however, be put over the younger up-coming talent... nor getting title matches.
Cena and Taker is what the majority wanna see (myself included), but there's no reason to shove Styles in there or take the strap off of him. Cena/Taker can be a thing and Styles can also have his championship match in a separate match.
Same with Owens and the Universal Championship.

Oh, and nobody knows for sure when he'll be back. I wouldn't be shocked to see him as a Rumble entrant.

the place for old stars is putting younger ones over. benjamin is not a name that by itself sells tickets, so there is little reason i see to heavily market into him trying to get some late blooming push. that said - seeing him back working with younger talent and having a few quality matches in his career twilight would be more than fine with me.
a guy like kurt angle - it would be great to see him do something limited if he's physically able to; a rumble appearance, hitting the angle slam and ankle lock, and then say being eliminated by chad gable to put him over. that's just classic wrestling. then have kurt mentor from a manager position the beginning of chad's career. proper respectful send off.
there is always a place for the old guys on their way out the door - but they cannot be misplaced or else you end up with the receptions bigshow and kane were getting.
