I honestly think Ringside should do the same as what eBay do in regards to the Global Shipping service. Like have a fee that you pay when you order that guarantees no custom charge. For you guys that order from there a lot, it would make sense. I don’t know how it would work on Ringsides end, but I’d be more inclined to order the exclusives from there rather than eBay if there was a guaranteed no import charge. Why in gods name would you want that? A guaranteed fee, instead of a small percentage chance of no fee at all. Just price it in, always. You're going to get a fee. If you don't it's a bonus. Yeah I get that, but if you're ordering a full set then get him with a £30 custom charge would it not be better to pay say £10 and just avoid it completely. You said price it in, if they did that you wouldn't have to price it in. It'd be there with your order. I prefer ordering things from America with the import fee already included, because I've been hit with £50 & £60 fees before on Classic Figures. I'd rather know its paid and I don't have to worry about it.

Aye it would be good if they did something along those lines or partnered with Borderfree (although I’ve heard people have some bad experiences with them). The customs fee itself generally doesn’t sting, it’s the Royal Mail ransom note that does it. £2 import tax is fine, add the £8 from Royal Mail and it makes a £20 figure £30

Just made my first ever Ringside order. Went for Ultimate Edition Ronda Rousey, Top Picks 2019 Elite Finn Balor and RSC Brian Kendrick. Came out to $107 including shipping but it's figures I desperately want or have wanted for a while. Treat yo' self!

How much was the charge? Also, the figure cost £26.95 excluding shipping? Did you use the 10% code? $26.99 NOT £ (my mistake!), before postage of FedEx International Saver (Zone C) (5 to 21 Business Days)*: $11.94 = Total: $38.93 . The charge was £12.14 (£4.14 tax, £8 royal mail handling fee).i did not use the discount code. This is my last new wwe figure purchase, unless that new walgreens exclusive elite Paige ever gets made. Boom.
So about £43 in total!? (...why not just wait for them to hit the UK for £20?).

I think the Customs charge/what you pay with eBay's Global Shipping method is pretty much the same as the Customs charge you'd get anyway though... whenever I've worked it out, it always seems quite expensive and not really worth it. I tend to stay away from things shipped using the Global Shipping method... it just seems you're definitely paying an often expensive fee - whereas sometimes when I've ordered things (even costing over $100) using normal/standard shipping services, I've not been charged any Customs fees. So I'd rather order things this way - knowing there will likely be a Customs charge and taking that into account - but also have a chance of not getting any additional fees at all. (...hope that makes sense, lol).

Customs charge postcard through the door from Royal Mail signifys that my Mabels at the sorting office, woo! Such a bittersweet moment when those cards arrive. On one hand you have a new figure to collect, on the other its another £15 to shell out I just got one the other day for the Milkomania set I ordered from ebay And I got stung every time (I'm sure customs kept a tab on me XD)!. I did buy a basic last year which was declared way lower than the actual price ($10.99 rather than $20 odd), so there wouldnt be a customs sting but not sure if ringside still do this or not.
I placed the order for the Mabel figure knowing full well I'd get stung again, but going in with the last new figure I really wanted, I couldnt be bothered with the wait for it in the Uk general retail, so treated myself basically. What a great figure to end on though for me. Worth every penny.

Because (like a broken record at this point the many times I've typed this!) this is the final new wwe release figure I am ever buying, unless that walgreens paige ever comes out. Also because I have the money spare to spend. So I am now out of the buying game. Window shopping from now on. Boom!

To me nothing can explain why someone would buy a figure for more than the double knowing in a month or so can get it for less than double.
What you are going to do with the figure? Put it on the shelf? Do you really need to put it on the shelf right now? Which is the the difference to put it right now or a month later?
I could understand if it was a gift for a kid or something like that. To an adult display it on the shelf I can't understand. I rather prefered to send the £23 to Africa than the garbage...
People are so impatient nowadays. I live in Portugal, many figures I want and bought I only get them 3 months or more later, these people would die lol

Seems a bit crackers to me @paigelover but you know what it’s your money so good on you. To play devils advocate, at least you’ve got it now and you don’t have to play the Smyths roulette, as things stand we have no confirmation that Smyths are gonna get him (chase or regular)
In other news, just went to Smyths in Wigan and they had that new Ambrose and Rollins Battlepack from the series with AJ and Jinder, and the Hardy Boyz (they didn’t have those two sets though). As far as I know that series hasn’t been on the website

Picked up Battle Pack 59 Hardys from my local Smyths. They also had the Ambrose Rollins pack. Didn’t see AJ and Mahal but I wasn’t really looking. Thanks for the heads up!
Just noticed that Jeff has one black boot! I need to pay more attention when the shop is busy haha. At least I got the £6 voucher off it.

A local B&M has slashed battlepacks down to £7, they had foley & steph, Miz & Maryse as cena & Nikki and a few others I cant remember. basics and Elites were on pegs at the end of the isle now instead of on shelves. They had the same from months ago, one bruts, two beckys, two apollo crews, a fandango, a xavier woods. cant remember the basics off top of head. they also had in toy nwo wcw belt, wwe title and usa title (i think). Boom.

Basically, if the dollar value (excluding shipping) of whatever figure you're buying from RS, exeeds £15, you're getting charged. I got stung twice - on tp '18 Styles, and Eric Young. If you were to order Young now though, it's low enough that you wouldn't get charged. Always use the WFIGS discount though, because that couple of dollars less, could be the difference between getting a fee or not. So unless it's a figure we're not getting here, I wouldn't order again from RS, unless it was under the threshold. Not to mention, that the Fed ex saver shipping has gone up too.

B and m Omagh Co. Tyrone - wrestlemania elite Barber, Cena and Orton, elite Barber. £4 basics- all Lana except for one lone Jericho. Had to grab the Orton. It's a stunning figure in person.

I prefer ordering things from America with the import fee already included, because I've been hit with £50 & £60 fees before on Classic Figures. I'd rather know its paid and I don't have to worry about it. The maths are simple. 20% of goods and shipping cost, plus 8 quid. It doesn't matter if you are buying wrestling figures or a own private jet. Accept that and anything under it is a bonus. I've had plenty of private parcels in the 200-300 dollar range ignored by customs. You aren't going to get a 10 quid charge for anything. The cheapest possible customs charge is £11.60 on a total cost of 18 quid. And if someone buys something for 9 quid, paying 9 quid delivery, and then gets hit by an 11.60 charge, then that is poor on their part.

Yes Steve you are right, it is expensive, and that is not because of the customs charge, it's because ebay's global shipping amount is usually an arbitrary expensive one that they plucked from the sky.

Lets say he got a crap rate from his bank of 1.25. £85.60 (£85.60 *1.2)+8 = 110.72 Expected customs charge is 25 quid.
