Drew this up before and added a mock Shawn Michaels figure for size purposes, how would you feel about your mattel figures coming on these cards?

Cool But not a lot of room for accessories

It'd honestly be a big downgrade. The Hasbro cards are fine for the Hasbro figures but Mattel should have their own look

Sure, it will be easier to steal the Elites!

I'd love it. I love Hasbro packaging but dislike the modern designs mostly. I'm nostalgic so I'm biased.

Sure, it will be easier to steal the Elites! But harder to do the crappy figure swap.

Visually it looks good, but I'm a MIB guy. I prefer the box because you have more options when you display them. They can be hung, stood up face out, or bookended. I have about 180 figures and limited space so I bookend them in a couple of Ikea bookcases.

It looks weird. I prefer the current packaging.

I love the retro figure homage, but I would consider it lazy and unoriginal if Mattel released their main line figures on those cards.

Sure, it will be easier to steal the Elites! But harder to do the crappy figure swap. It's pretty much the same thing, except figure swapping take more time and dedication, but I'm pretty sure the swappers would like the retro carding. Not saying retro carding isn't cool, but they are an MOC collecting nightmare.

I almost think the figure swap is easier because there's no risk of getting caught despite the extra work.

Imo It doesn't match the style of figure, Mattel figures are more realistic and less boldly detailed than the Hasbro style. It would be nice to get more appropriate packaging eventually, I know they might need the room for ring steps or complicated accessories, but a lot of times there's just a bunch of empty space, I do love how E39 and up have the side profile though.

Not something I would want. Hell even with the retro figures I wouldn't want Hasbro styled cards, because they aren't Hasbro. Mattel needs to be their own style/design. Even with the retro figures while they are scaled about the same as Hasbro's and have similar action features I wouldn't display them together because the Mattel head sculpt are much more realistic than Hasbro's cartoonish heads.

This is pure garbage and poor aesthetic design for Mattel to consider They already had the Retro Figures at Walmart why bother redoing it on a bigger scale figure? Packagin wise - this is poor Drew this up before and added a mock Shawn Michaels figure for size purposes, how would you feel about your mattel figures coming on these cards?

Pretty cool. I'd love to see Mattel do this as a one-off. Maybe as a store exclusive? Not something I'd like to see done over-and-over again, but, like the BootyO's, I think it would be awesome with the right figure. That HBK honestly would have been the perfect type of figure to try something like this imo. Maybe they can do a black and silver variant and release this exact thing.

Nice idea for a basic I think, but as others have said, maybe a bit of a retrograde for Elites. Good work though 👍

Out of interested, is there a way to mount loose figures onto custom cards? Id love to mount one just to see it in the flesh.

Yeah, the surfs up 2 set has the best packaging.
