how did Cena de-legitimize AJ?
AJ's promos are about how HE is the guy. He's the champ, he's the best to ever do it, etc.
Cena came through and said no, you're wrong....it's me not you. Which is true. Everything Cena said is pretty legit. Doesn't mean AJ sucks.
Again, it's about the sum of both parts, not because Cena came at AJ hard.....and if you didn't realize "the guy from atlanta" was just a cheap WWE tactic, you gotta remember what you're watching here

I'd be 100% on board with Ziggler/JBL at Wrestlemania, just because Yeah, but there's not really room on the card for that match...is there? I feel like there's not even room for all the titles to be defended, how do they fit super upper-midcard Dolph vs. retired JBL? |

Or when he lost to Rusev. Or Bray Wyatt. John Cena always gets the last laugh. It may not happen immediately, but everything leads back to John Cena being the guy on SD just like Roman is on RAW. Daniel Bryan is the only mf to get the last laugh on Cena and there's nothing Cena can do since he WWE won't let him wrestle I wouldn't even say Bryan got the last laugh, considering he lost the title 5 minutes later. They weren't going to have Orton beat Cena, so he might as well beat Daniel Bryan, who the company never had long-term plans for until Punk left. |
