Triple H and Steph doubted Marvel.
#1 rule of Marvel, never doubt Marvel.
This makes them look even dumber than usual.

I think that was one of the rare instances where short-term booking paid off. There have been way more failures than success stories over the course of the years since they've started booking this way. Hell, even look at what's become of The Shield members now because of short-term booking - they're all cool with each other and friends again and nobody holds anything against Seth for stabbing Ambrose and Reigns in the back anymore. To be fair, we've seen odd inconsistencies like that for as long as wrestling has been around. Austin damn near killed Triple H by dropping him in a car from a forklift. A year later, they were tag champs. The Rock almost caved in Mankind's skull with a chair. A year later they were best friends. Road Warriors tried to rip out Dusty's eye with a shoulder spike. Couple months later they were cool with each other. Taker has set Kane on fire several times, killed their parents, and yet they hold no grudges. S**t doesn't always make sense. It's a wrestling tradition at this point. I wonder how long it will be until Ziggler and Miz are best buddies and possibly tag champions?

Batista originally wanted to return as a heel which he should have L, trying to bring him back and push him eight to the top over the super popular D-Bryan was insane. Batista seems to have a good mind for the business but Imo the break up of the Shield was done at the right time, rather than people asking or questioning when the break up was coming, it was a huge shock totally out of the blue.

Batista's 2014 run is so bizarre, and he has every right to be bitter.

It's a wrestling tradition at this point. Agreed, but it made it easier to overlook things in the past when the overall product and characters had a much more natural connection with the audience. Guess that part is subjective. Just cause you or I may not feel a connection, doesn't mean there are those that do. Triple H and Steph doubted Marvel. #1 rule of Marvel, never doubt Marvel. This makes them look even dumber than usual. As I said on the previous page, there were many so call "experts" that predicted GOTG would bomb. Most of the general audience had no idea who any of these characters were. It was a huge gamble for Marvel. Luckily it paid off and we got a fantastic movie.

I agree with Batista about being screwed. He seems like a guy who truly loves the business and has always thrived as a heel (unless as a tweener like in 2005). The WWE was just stubborn that fans wanted Bryan and did anything to not let him be the man.
However, I disagree about the Shield breaking up. It was he perfect time. There was nowhere else to go from there, and they did a good job using that as Rollins reason for ending it. Seriously, who else could they have feuded with at that time? They already fought the Wyatts.

It wasnt so much him being a face as it was him taking Bryans spot and Rumbke win. Had they brought him in slower, not pushing him straight to the Rumble win people wouldve been more behind him. It was a little exciting when he returned on Raw. The moment it became clear that he was going to be the focus of the main event of Mania is when it went sour.
If youd of had him come back as face, had him and Brock face off in the Rumble and eliminate eachother, and had Brock vs Batista at Mania 30, he'd of had way more fan support and not as many wouldve turned on him.

They did. He's right. He should have won the belt prior to Mania and Bryan could've beaten him. They ed up. And I don't care what anyone says, they had Bryan in mind to win the titles at Mania after Summerslam 2013. Cena doesn't lose clean and a guy become a first time WWE champion to that kind of pop and WWE not have big future plans. CM Punk, too.

I mean, there's only a mountain of evidence against it, including Bryan himself stating multiple times that wasn't the case.

Exactly the only reason Bryan main evented was because of the fans and CM Punk walking out. some people got stop being sheep and realize WWE had no intentions of putting Bryan in that spot.

Hell, the gear he wore for Mania was originally made with the thought that he was still going to be part of The Wyatts.
