1) Putting this figure as a "DM" means we got Shinsuke Nakamura faster than if he was placed in the regular Elite line. If you have such a problem with paying FIVE DOLLARS more than wait a year and buy the Elite of him whenever it comes out. People on here act like the DM line is twice the price of Elites, but I'm willing to pay $5 more if it means the figure will be easier to find (see: recent Elites of Samoa Joe and AJ Styles) 2) Having a debut match with Sami Zayn at the level that Nakamura did is certainly a "defining moment". It was MOTY quality and others have not made quite the same impact. (I'm looking at you, Andrade "Cien" Almas) 3) This is up for pre-order on RSC for $25.99 and since I don't get out much these days I just pulled the trigger and pre-ordered it because at this point I could get it at the same time as it hit stores but at least I'm only paying $1 more and shipping. It's a damn good deal on RSC right now and it shall be my second WWE Mattel figure of 2017, which I also ordered my first from RSC and was Asuka, so there's that. Yes indeed. His merchandise is through the roof being in a "developmental brand" and placing him in a regular Elite series limits his numbers to 2 per case, max. As a DM, he'll be at least 4 spots on the shelf at retail. From a negative standpoint, this may also be testing the waters for a Goldberg DM. I have no idea what accessories they could give him, no matter what time frame his figure is from, but you can bet it won't be much beyond the heavyweight belt, and people will grab their pitchforks over a figure with that little detail getting the DM treatment.

To be fair, flashback collectors have been asking for a DM Goldberg for YEARS, the controversy around this figure mainly has to do with him not being a "WWE Legend"

His claim to fame is his rise to the top of WCW, which is similar to Nakamura's rise in New Japan, where he took the IWGP intercontinental belt and made it the most important thing going over there. He's come to nXt, which they consider their third brand, and has dominated ever since. That said, I'm biased. I want them both, regardless of their accessories or amount of deco.

Sting wasn't a legend in WWE either and no one batted an eye. These are mostly old school fans who only want pre-RA stuff be it WWF, WCW, NWA, etc. I certainly think Nakamura is worthy, certainly as worthy as Goldberg, but I'm not the one to convince. some people just aren't very open minded outside their comfort zones

I'm glad I have MOC pics to stare at in order to get that anticlimactic taste out of my mouth.

Glad he's a DM. I don't have to break my back trying to hunt down DMs like I do with EVERY OTHER FIGURE. It's like my local stores don't want my business.

Just saw a review on YouTube. Looks incredible. I'm constantly coming back here to see if anyone has gotten shipping confirmation.
