Are they like saving all the smackdown matches for the elimination chamber ppv?

What the . Is this Rumble going to be an hour and a half to almost 2 hours? I just don't get why they need SO MUCH time for the main card. Will people enter the rumble every two minutes? That's the only thing I can think of that would require this much free time. Unless we're getting Wrestlemania type segment involving HBK, Austin, Etc.

Lol They're gonna try to repeat HBK vs Taker at the '07 Rumble...only this time with Lesnar and Goldberg...and it'll last 2 hours with a Brock German, stalling, repeat about 50 times before Goldberg wins. Then we get Roman vs Goldberg to main event WM...

The kickoff show was extended to two hours. They know most people won't watch that nonsense unless they have matches on during it.

Most Rumble events are 3-5 matches and the Rumble. Both title matches will probably go 30-45 mins. The Rumble itself will go an hour. That's nearly 3hrs alone.

I was worried how theyd fill 3 and a half hours on Survivor Series and they managed to do so, even though i felt the tag team Survivor Series match could have used more time. Im sure theyll find a way to fill 3 and a half hours at the Rumble

Three pre-show matches?
Never thought I'd see the day...especially with two of said matches having championship holders in them...

Honestly, apart from the Royal Rumble match itself, both pre-show womens matches are among the matches I'm looking forward to the most, and I have no idea why WWE considers them not important enough to be a part of the main show. Especially the 6 women tag team match, that's a pretty big match there.
Surely the cruiserweight match could have been dumped onto the pre-show instead?

That sucks. I really wanted to see the Mickie James match. I'll have to watch it on demand at a later time, I don't have time to watch the PPV and the pre-show.

For anyone that may still doubt Vince finds Raw superior to SD.

Yeah, 3-5 matches when the ppv was only 2 hours and 45 minutes but now there's an extra hour

Meh... I'd like to see them switch the tag title match with the cruiserweight title match, personally. If the Club finally wins, after all this time, it'll be sh*t to have it happen on the pre show. I get that it gives those guys a break before the Rumble match, but still.
I'm actually moderately interested in that 6 woman tag match. I like what they're doing with Alexa/Mickie and Becky, and the Nikki and Natty feud, if nothing else, has had dedicated development. Sure, Naomi is shoehorned in there out of necessity, primarily so she can setup getting pinned at Chamber, but the two stories in that match are largely good.

That's good imo. They are going to give Bayley/Charlotte & Cena/AJ all the time they could possibly want.
Think you'll see: *Neville v. Rich Swann (20 minutes with entrances) *Bayley v. Charlottes (25 minutes with entrances) *Reigns v. Owens (30 minutes with entrances) *Cena v. Styles (45 minutes with entrances) *Royal Rumble Match (1hr 10 minutes)
That would put them at about 3 hours. Add in all of the backstage promos/video packages/PreShow Panel Predictions, they will push this right to about 4 hours.

These shows are too damn long. They really are and it's primarily due to WWE's poor pacing imo. They want to give you 5 hours of content but they don't know how to do that without making it feel like a chore. They produce PPVs just like an episode of Raw. They really need to get back to cramming everything they can into a 3 hour block, 4 at most. They have an inordinate amount of filler talking and transition time that really kills the shows momentum. I honestly believe 5 hours of pro wrestling can be compelling, but just not the way WWE does it.

Back in the day you only had 1 preshow match that featured lower carders but this is ridiculous. Title matches and ones that feature top stars should be on the main show.
If it's a lame attempt to lure people into subscribing to their network then they're wrong. No one is going to watch 6 hours of wrestling.

Back in the day the tag titles were always on the card now they put em on the pre-show? Total BS.

What I don't get either is that they put the Crusierweight match on the main card and decide to put the Tag titles on the Preshow! Who actually books these PPV's?
