Welp here it is! Chainsaw Charlie! It's so satisfying to see this one finished. Started out as Phineas Godwinn body, so I had to dremel and sand away the overalls and then sculpt on the torso to make it more like a shirt with the suspenders. Based the design on the Jakks Chainsaw charlie mini figure and wanted to make it as close as I could to what jacks would have possibly made as a full size figure. So thats why I did the head the way I did. Chainz head. also had to fatten the cheeks up to fit the proportions a bit better. Then also cut down the hair in the back and sculpted some on that. I also sculpted the wrist/hand tape Though only around the palms and wrists. I realized later that terry had his whole hands covered in tape so I just painted inbetween the sculpting. But yeh that's that! now I just need a jakks chainsaw accessory.. Also have this bonus Mankind Black sweats custom I did the other day:

The chainsaw looks great, good use of the parts.
I'm really digging the headscan for the mankind!

Excellent work, BCA_Bawstud! I can really see it in the eyes of the Chainz sculpt, and quite frankly that expression is a million times better than what Jakks was going for. I've always liked the Godwinn bodies as they capture that perfect middle ground of not-too-big, not-too-small sculpts which was rare for Jakks at the time. You did a tremendous job with that base and bringing a BCA Chainsaw Charlie to life (in my eyes at least), so double thanks for that.

BCA_BawstudI like the resculpted Road Warrior Hawk head, and I agree that the checkerboard pattern is among some of your finest work. Were you largely inspired by the TNF Elite Sami Zayn figure while working on this custom? Because if so, I'd say you really captured that look in BCA form. Plenty of people have issues with the Mattel figure's likeness, but when it is shown with the accessories complete and photographed at alternate angles, I actually find it to be a fair representation. The same applies to your Hawk head. You also have to keep in mind that not every Jakks figure likeness was a home run either. An overwhelming percentage were not even close to rounding the bases. What I love most about coming to this thread is seeing your innate ability to find exactly the right parts for the job. Without a doubt, Sami embodies the spirit of 1997 Jakks.

I love your work, you are the man. Thanks dood, means alot coming from you, you make amazing stuff (: Regardless exactly excellent work Thanks man, Im learnin lol. I think one thing I should work on is studying the face shape of the guy I'm trying to capture. Like if I would shaved away abit to the head was more triangular towards the chin BCA_Bawstud I like the resculpted Road Warrior Hawk head, and I agree that the checkerboard pattern is among some of your finest work. Thanks chicago (: the TNF Elite actually set this into motion. I was already working on the figure and had painted some. I decided to go for the NXT sami vs shinsuke attire since it seemed the easiest for me to pull off, but I knew I'd have to go through the match and get refs. Then I saw that fig at walmart and said "ah screw it" and used that figure to finish it that night lol. The attire really adds to it and makes me really like it lol. and thats what makes me feel better about it XD Thats why I've wanted to try sculpting on other heads and repainting because I really wanna capture the essence of BCAs thats hard to do with real scan heads. The sometimes inaccurate earnestness of them lol

BCA_BawstudI've been meaning to tell you how much I love the BCA Kevin Owens. Blackman's head was a perfect choice for a base. Along with that t-shirt mold and Mero's lower half, it's almost as if Jakks knew someday people would want a Kevin Owens figure. Or maybe the man himself always envisioned it and that's why he chose the gear?! lol It's appropriate too that you would go with the Raw Is War t-shirt design since after all no figure line better embodies late 90's WWF than BCA.
