I know this topic has been discussed several times. It was major back in 2002. I can't believe it's been 15 years since the first WWE Draft. I was 11 years old when the Draft series was set to come out. I was here on the board when we first got word that the first 20 Raw and Smackdown Drafg picks were to be released in figure form! Like wow! That was major news! 40 figures (well 42 if you count the NWO). Everyone had a favorite that they were eager to get. I remember being stoked for Mr. Perfect, Terri, Torrie, Shawn Stasiak, Brock Lesnar and Billy Kidman....can y'all see how terrible this is going to go? Lol!
Let's reminisce...so first came the confusion with the limited edition numbers. I vividly remember several of us on here being super confused with the up in the air statuses of 8 of the figures; Terri, Torrie Wilson, Brock Lesnar, DLo Brown, Shawn Stasiak, Billy Kidman, Mr. Perfect and Mark Henry. To be honest I never saw a true answer from Jakks as to the status of these. In fact, they were being super discreet as to if these were being made or not.
11 year old me needed Terri haha. She was my favorite at the time. I remember finding tons of Draft figures at GameStop. The manager gave me this runaround of how the "unconfirmed" figures were released and in limited quantity. Like as in the 2,000 range. My uncle's partner at the time called bs on it haha. So of coarse, armed with this trusty information, I continued the search. It never really dawned on me in my search that I hadn't seen any of the 8 unconfirmed figures. I was so obsessed with finding Terri that I didn't pay attention.
In the end, about 2004 lol, I ended up with Draft figures of Al Snow, Ivory and Hulk Hogan. And a terrible attitude because I really wanted that dang Terri! I loved the Marlena figure but I wanted a Terri with articulated legs and arms darn it!
So in light of the 2016 Draft, how many of you hunted those ever so elusive figures? I think we received figures of everyone on that list with the exception of Terri and Stasiak.
