Ante Whitner makes statement on Joshua Dean injury
Ante Whitner, Josh Dean's last opponent before his severe injury, has given a few words to WFWF.com about the recent news.
About the injury:
"It's a shame, it really is. Josh Dean is one of the most prospective and hard-working individuals I've had the chance to go up against. This tournament meant everything to him and to see it all disappear for him in a flash is extremely disappointing. It was never my intention to injure Josh like that and I wish him a quick recovery."
About the punishment Lila Sleater announced earlier today:
"As unfair as it is, Lila is doing what's best for the company and if that involves me defending the Golden Opportunity in the Supreme Gauntlet, then so be it. Again, it really was never my intention to deliberately hurt Josh and cause this painful injury. But, given this penance, I will do my best to keep rising up the ranks of Block B and defend my Golden Opportunity."
Whitner is to main event the next WFWF Supreme Gauntlet event against Frank Lynn with his Golden Opportunity title on the line.
