Isn't it hard to believe that she was once women's champion? I mean in the last few years, women that are great wrestlers and athletes have been the women's champion. Stacy was neither. Don't get me wrong, I liked her. She was hot(and still is) and the post match at Armageddon 99 was the highlight of that ppv Then again at the time women's wrestling in wwe was all about T&A. Anyway, what did you guys think of Stacy Carter and her being women's champion? She held the belt for like two months and even successfully defended it at least once(she beat Ivory on smackdown).

A forgettble champion with no skill in the ring whatsoever. That's pretty much it...

The Kat was there for T&A, so her being Women's Champion was pretty eh. BTW, I do agree she was hot. She was #4 on the divas i thought were hot back when i started watching

If she wasn't married to Jerry Lawler at the time, she wouldn't have been in the wrestling industry at all.

Yeah, but remember, at the time she won it, the title had not gotten back to prominence yet. I mean a few months prior to her, you had Debra holding the belt, and she lost the belt to Harvey Wippleman in drag. It wasn't until late 2001, that it was really taken serious as a title again.

A very dark time for women's "wrestling" I use that term loosely for that era. Lets just say thank God for Jacqueline, Lita, Ivory & Chyna.

I'm pretty sure, the only reason the title was initially brought back during that time was so they could put it on Sable. Yeah, Jackie won it first, but then sable would go on to hold is for 176 days. Plus you had to have Fabulous Moolah win the title during that time. Yeah, she only held it for a week, but at her age, and how limited on what she could do, she should have never held that belt during that time.

Being hot was her only asset, and I didn't even think she was hot.
WWF women were just sleazy and gross during that era. They were all middle aged and looked like they may have carried any number of STD's.
Meanwhile, WCW had Torrie Wilson and Stacey Keibler... OMG

A great time for women's wrestling!
Guys wanted to see hot girls in little clothing, and that's what they got.

The Debra thread reminds me of Kat. Some think Debra and Sable looked older than they were. Kat, I was sure was much older. And one of the Apter mags had a feature on Jerry Lawler with personal pictures. They had a picture of Stacy Carter and Lawler from 1987. I assumed (in 2001-2000) that she was probably in her 40s. Little did I know, she was only like 17 or 18 when she met Lawler. LOL.

It was strange they fired her right as that Right to Censor angle was starting. I think she said in interviews that they didn't even give her a reason to let her go. I've heard she had an attitude problem? So did Bob Holly, but he lasted long.

She might be hot, but the fact that she let Jerry Lawler touch her turns my stomach.
