For being one of the most popular wrestlers in the world, it bugs me that El Santo only gets bootleg action figures made of him. Sculpted whole mask and painted things as needed. I mulled over making the mask removable by simply applying a layer of latex to the head, but then the sculpted mouth/eye/ear bits would snap when it was removed. Maybe next time! He's up for sale if you want to shoot me an offer, thanks for looking.  ...and he has chest stubble because real men have chest stubble xD |

Great work man. Sculpting is spot on and the paint job is clean as all hell! Wonderful!
And extra thanks for posting your CUSTOM here, on the custom board! As apposed to that tumor of a thread in the Mattel section.
Pray tell, are we in store for any more Lucha Legends? Or perhaps another famous masked man, The Destroyer?

Thanksss folks! Awesome stuff man! Sami Zayn head? That's a Bruno Sammartino head under there if you can believe it, I sanded it all down and sculpted over it. As for more luchadores, yesterday someone commissioned me to sculpt a Mil Mascaras and another masked head, so I'll def post those too. |

Really good job on that mask. The sculpting and paint is so smooth on everything, and that silver really pops. Always a pleasure to see a "something out of nothing" route with head choices. I just love the creativity behind that, I would have never guessed it was Bruno. Can't wait to see those next commissions of yours.

The guy just wanted the masks made for those, he's sending me the heads to use. The colors he wanted for Mil were pale grey with black trim and a red "M". I have one Elite body left though, so I'm open to requests if you post a reference pic  I have a Son of Havok that needs a head and a Mil Muertes (Lucha Underground) in the WIP box Really good job on that mask. The sculpting and paint is so smooth on everything, and that silver really pops. Always a pleasure to see a "something out of nothing" route with head choices. I just love the creativity behind that, I would have never guessed it was Bruno. Can't wait to see those next commissions of yours. Thanksss, I only have a smiling Ric Flair head and a snarling Windham head (from the 4-pack), so I'm open to ideas on which enmascarados to make with those. |

Yeah it can be posed, I should have taken a few more action shots, have to find a werewolf or vampire figure for him to fight...lol I use a few coats of Liquitex varnish, which provides a hard coat to protect against little bumps and everyday handling, and makes it easier to clean or wash. It isn't invincible though. For example, if you gouge the paint with a metal key or smash it against other figures it'll scrape off, but lightly scratching with your fingernail won't damage it. I haven't found any topcoat that's absolutely bulletproof, at least nothing thin enough that won't leave thick brush marks anyway. |

P3 definitely makes some quality paints. I invested into few of their skin tones and base colors. Love the coverage I get out of them. I'm slowly building up my collection of "premium" paints.
