Life Goes On
Brick Harrison and Brandon Bison sat in an office in the Bison Wrestling Academy building. Bison was at his desk with a phone in his hand. He had just finished talking with fellow WFWF wrestler, Frank Lynn.
Bison: Brick, I just got off the phone with your old pal, Frank Lynn. He was asking about your progress and if you should be in your first match yet.
Brick: What’d you tell him?
Bison: I told him you need work. A lot of work.
Brick: You bitch! You’ve said it yourself, I’m improving quickly in the ring and out, why the hell would you lie to him?
Bison: I’m only kidding. Minus that one fiasco a few weeks back with Wolf and Vass, you’re getting better. I told him you’re ready for your debut.
Brick: I knew you weren’t as big a d*ck as I thought.
Brandon: I like you, Brick. You’re gonna be big. Trust me when I say that, too. I’ve never said that to any of my trainees, but I don’t think I’m wrong to say that to you.
Brick: So, what’s the deal? Who am I facing?
Brandon: You’ve landed a spot in the Legacy Top Prospects Tournament.
Brick: Winner of a tournament on my debut? Man, this is gonna be good.
Brandon: Don’t get too cocky now, there’s some of the best rookies in wrestling in this tournament.
Brick: The best? I don't think so... Those guys aren't named Brick Harrison.
…
Wrestling has always been a major part of my life. Anyone that has watched WFWF as long as I’ve been here knows that. Unfortunately, with every passing day, wrestling seems to be dying even more. Guys are dropping like flies from the WFWF. Guys like Bobby Hall and Mike Jette. It’s not looking up for WFWF. At around this time last year, WFWF was flourishing with new blood, but now we’re almost empty. Nowadays people come, then leave, and you don’t see or hear from them for a while, until they do the same again. They show no dedication, and this is a detriment to the sport of wrestling.
But I’m still here. I will stick around with WFWF through thick and thin, because I love wrestling. I am here to keep wrestling alive. I am here to make sure wrestling and the WFWF live on forever. I am here to make WFWF better than it ever has been. Everyone needs to be at their best. That’s the only way to make WFWF the best it can be.
And that’s why I’m trying to groom Brick Harrison for the future. A few weeks ago, I told Brick that life goes on. He wanted to bask in the spotlight, but I took the chance away from him. Just like I learned that I wasn’t entitled to anything, he will learn that he isn’t entitled to anything. He’s going to have to change his ways, and it starts with disappointment. Being let down is a part of life. He must realize that life will go on, with or without him complaining like a whiney bitch.
He needs to learn to shed the sh*t that makes you weak. Brick Harrison must learn this. He needs to get rid of this idea that he’s the best, that he’s entitled to things, because it didn’t get me anywhere and it will not get him anywhere either. That reminds me of someone… Someone that I am facing very soon. The new kid on the block, Tyson Watts. Watts, you look to take the happiness from people in the world, and for what? Where is that going to get you? You think that’s going to make you look better by default? Hell no, it’s going to make you look worse for trying to rain on someone’s parade. You’re always going to come out looking like a fool, which from knowing what I know about you so far is exactly what you are.
One day, sh*t like that is gonna come back around and bite you in the ass. Go out there and prove yourself in the ring, go out and get on your own two feet before trying to knock everyone else down. You’re going to be a prime example of why I’m trying to make Brick a better person. I like Brick, and I don’t want him to turn out like you.
