I thought we was in the Reality Era. What's the New Era? New Era is the term they've used on tv over the last year... This is my first time seeing the phrase "Reality Era" but then again, the only wrestling news I get is from Meltzer. Reality Era is the term triple h coined when talking about the whole Twitter, Facebook, universe. Thing.

Punk's "pipe bomb" promo is generally recognized as the beginning of the Reality Era.

Exclusive figures coming with rings is not new. It's been done before and it will be again I'm aware of how these things work. An exclusive attire Reigns or Cena figure (for example) is one thing. But it's another thing entirely to tell people the only way to get the first Mattel ever of Goldberg is to buy a surely very expensive ring.

I am going to wait for the WCW Goldberg Elite figure to come out and will pass. I already have a couple elite rings and multiple basic rings and this figure isn't colorful enough and doesn't have a belt or anything so I will actually pass on this first Goldberg figure.

Its exactly like the Elite Dusty Figure that you could only get w/ the ring.

So wait... Upon readin Goldberg's mold is exclusive to this set? Meaning that he'll probably have a unique or new mold for himself? If so that's great news and I'm really hoping so. Although the guy did say this He really seemed to have only marginal knowledge of the product. I mean it seemed like he was given notes and studied them well, but I wouldn't bet the farm on everything this gent said.

93-96 "New Generation" 96-01 "Attitude" 02-08 "Ruthless Aggression" 09-15 "PG Era" 16- "New Era" Yes, the PG era was real. Is it a weird way to describe it? Sure, but then what would you call that particular era? Pg era and new era are pretty awful to watch. Nxt is good out of the three being raw, smackdown and nxt. It feels like wwe lost its balls to make edgy content and focuses on old timers to keep the show going. It doesn't need to be "edgy" to be good, no one over 15 wants to watch something edgy. NXT hasn't been good outside of their Takeovers in almost three years, there's virtually no story and it's just "indy guy riding hype to get title" It's better than the crap storylines and awful in-ring product that the Attitude Era was, just generic redneck crash TV that was edgy for the sake of being edgy.

How old are you? You must have been a small pup to consider the attitude era full of crap storylines. The storylines that started the attitude era with the Montreal screw job which created the mr. McMahon character and some of the greatest in history. The buyout of wcw and the battles between Shane owned wcw and Vince owned wwe. Nwo, crow sting coming down from the rafters from supposedly joining nwo but switching to the Wolfpack. Dx, Kane, mankind getting thrown off a steel cage from undertaker, stone cold vs the rock, Kurt angle, wrestlemania x8, all of those are just a FEW to be named as great entertainers and eventsthat provided so much entertainment and it's crap?and you're telling me the attitude era had crap storylines? Your crap. Go troll someone else and buy some dvds or whatever you have to do to educate yourself on wrestling. Don't come at me with your bullsh**.

There was a lot of great stuff at the top of the card in the Attitude Era, but there was a whole lot of complete garbage underneath. And even some of the things mentioned here are tiresome in retrospect; the endless nWo double-crosses in particular.

Looking at the pictures of the ring at facebook, it looks to be smaller and better in scale with the figures than the current ASR. I don't think its 22x22..
But like someone already mentioned, the turnbuckles pieces and hooks doesn't look as good as the current ASR. But it is after all a prototype and will probably be changed on the final product, then again maybe it won't.

I'm surprised how terrible the undercards were and how many nobodies WCW churned out. I'm also surprised how much stuff 2004-2008 I hated at the time, but am actually enjoying now.

I'm loving the look of this new ring. The only thing that bothers me is given that it comes with commentary accessories would it not make more sense to have it come with commentators like mauro/jbl or cole/graces?

I'm gonna throw this out there. How many Goldberg nitpickers made customs using those exact body parts back in the day? I don't see what is wrong with it honestly. He looks like a Triple H with a Goldberg head popped on it. That's honestly all I expected.
The fact that they are gonna use a new mold for him on future releases? Cool. The ring looks really good. All I used to have was a spring ring. Never could muster up the desire for an ASR, but now that we have this which will be much more compatible with the accessories they've given us, I will buy it for sure. Am I a fool and his money? Maybe, or maybe everybody else has unrealistic expectations here.

Its exactly like the Elite Dusty Figure that you could only get w/ the ring. Dusty was a cool figure. But it's still not this. This is a current figure of a legend who has just returned to the ring and will probably become Champion. And his first Mattel, as well. Dusty already had a Mattel at that point.

Can Bill or anybody confirm if these turnbuckles are going to stay the same or if they will change? Because as much as I like it, it operates as a basic ring does. An authentic ring should be able to remove turnbuckle pads. Otherwise how is this authentic or real when the turnbuckles are just molded?

Since I bought 3 Dusty w/WCW ring (1 at full price, 2 at clearance discount), I'll just buy this for MOC when it comes out if it's under 80. And I'll do what most do around these parts. Wait for the eventual sell of it to move stock for a loose Goldberg and give my nephew the ring since I just display, no play.

It's just a triple h elite. The only thing new is the head. it's a new torso. It's not.

Might get the ring, but I don't need the 90's version of Roman Reigns that goes with it.
