Hello everyone, let me start off by saying that I have never posted to this forum before, although every now and again I will check this forum out.
My names Josh, I am the owner of Zombie Sailor's Toys from Instagram ( @zombiesailorstoys ) , you guys might have heard about me, 2 years ago I was the one that found a warehouse full of sealed WWF Hasbro series 1 cases.
I am pleased to announce, that I now own the HOLY GRAIL for carded WWF Hasbro figures.
I have NEVER heard about this figure up until now, as word never left the Hasbro offices back in 1991 of this one of a kind piece.
This figure was purchased DIRECTLY from the collection of WWF Hasbro sculptor Ron Rudat ( see pictures below for proof )
It is a carded Brutus " The Barber " Beefcake II figure, and his barber shears have STRIPE painted HANDLES !
*** UPDATE **** HASBROMANIAC also pointed out that the white text under the figure that should have Brutus' name is blank ! WOW, This just keeps getting better, and I cannot believe I missed that, I guess the excitement cause me to overlook that part lol
As you know, the Brutus that was released had solid all black handles on his barber shears, although the stripes are sculpted into it.
This is the only known one I can find after countless hours of research, every other one I have seen all have solid black handles.
After speaking with Ron Rudat in depth about this piece, he doesn't remember the back story on it, although it was in his collection ( with many other one of a kind pieces I have yet to reveal )
I've come to the conclusion that this Brutus Beefcake II figure is similar to the Kamala moon belly, as this is how Brutus Beefcake II was originally intended to look at retail, but then changes were made ( maybe due to costs or time restraints )
There is no doubt in my mind, that this is now the single rarest Hasbro WWF carded figure known, more rare than the Kamala moon belly, as there are quite a few samples of those known to exist.
This has got to be a one of a kind UNRELEASED sample.
This is NOT for sale, I am simply sharing this treasure with the WWF Hasbro community and would like to hear everyone's feedback.
It's incredible that after so many years new things keep popping up that were never before discussed, this line will never cease to amaze me.
Hope you enjoy
