I can't say I'm surprised. This is probably more to do with Billy Corgan being ousted from TNA than the new contract situation. Still sad to see, it was another highlight to see (at least for Maria lol) Why would the people leaving, wait months after Corgan was gone to start leaving? I know he was liked, but I doubt he was able to get enough loyalty to cause people to start leaving the company.

Theres been reports that Bennett and Maria would want to leave when their contracts expire and based on Bennetts tweet on bad business as usual after Corgan left and Maria saying after her contract expired that she would go back to school, again all said right after Corgan was ousted and the lawsuit was settled, I was going based on that as the reason they won't resign.

Oh, you're talking about just Bennett and Maria. I thought you were talking about everyone that's been leaving. Ok, I got what you're saying now.

I feel so bad for TNA now! But look on the bright side theirs more talent coming to the WWE maybe! Kinda hard to feel bad for them, when the company has done nothing but bring it on themselves. You keep treating talent like crap long enough, and they'll just give you the finger and walk out the door.

This is just setting the stage for Jarrett to bring his GFW guys along with younger and cheaper talent.
I guess the new management figures TNA never really got big or mainstream with high-priced, big name guys, so might as well go a different route. Factor in the rumors that TNA might change their name and they're simply going to fully rebrand.

Having Maria was definitely an asset. But Bennett was nothing more than a solid hand. His gimmick never got over. The Maria/Allie thing got completely ing sidetracked. This is in no way, shape or form a huge loss like the Hardy's or even Drew.

This is in no way, shape or form a huge loss like the Hardy's or even Drew. It's not as big of a loss as the Hardyz or Drew but it's still a major loss. I don't care for Mike Bennett and his gimmick never did get over, but he was heavily featured in the company's main storylines and was featured on a weekly basis ever since his debut. If you take a look at TNA's personnel, they have about 28 "active" male wrestlers. They may only produce one show per week, but things will easily get stale with not only the lack of personnel, but the lack of star power.

Think they dropped the ball with him after his injury. Could have been their top guy for years to come but ya know...TNA things

Bennett was my favorite guy on TNA's roster. I think they really got it right with him out of the gate but then squandered it by never putting him over, and doing a terrible ing Lashley title run, followed by a terrible Eddie Edwards title run. I think this is another big loss for TNA. Bennett was a huge piece of their core and he is only 31. Maria is obviously a huge part of every single show. Bennett was exactly the type of guy they needed. He was an ROH guy that TNA could have made their own. I hope they end up in NXT. Bennett has always been a perfect WWE type of guy and with the Bellas spotlight largely moving away from the ring, and a brand split in place, I have to think the issues with Maria have to be a non factor this time around.

Jades contract also expired. No word if she's going to re-sign too.
FORMER KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION IS NOW FREE AGENT
by Mike Johnson @ 9:07 AM on 3/1/2017
Former TNA Knockouts champion Jade's deal with TNA has expired and she is now officially a free agent, PWInsider.com has confirmed. There is no word whether she will be working this week's Impact Wrestling tapings as the company has been working to have all the regulars appearing on the tapings signed to deals.
Jade, real name Stephanie Bell, 27, has been with the company full-time since 2015, initially debuted as a member of the Dollhouse with Taryn Terrell and Marti Belle. Once that group ran its course, Jade has been pushed as one of the focal points of the Knockouts division and has currently been feuding with Rosemary for the championship. She received a lot of mainstream media attention last year for speaking out against domestic abuse she has endured in the past.

It's too bad TNA couldn't hang on to these folks, but I would be happy to see all of them end in NXT/WWE. I really like all of these talents. Jade and Maria could really help fill out the NXT women's division, while Bennett and Drew could help bolster the men's division. The Hardy's could go right to the main roster, IMO.

Maybe the prophecy that Vince laid out all those years ago of Drew McIntyre being a future World Champion will actually come true!

Bennett is a guy that is built for the WWE, but needs work. Mike Bennett in NXT would do him wonders. Really hoping he makes the move and The Wolves are next to join in leaving.
