I really don't think Randy compliments many people these days. He's definitely lost a few steps in the last couple years alone I agree. That's why I never understood why people wanted to see these two in the ring together. At one point, 3-4 years ago, it could've been a great match. He's had good matches with somewhat similar stars in the past (Rollins, Punk to some extent), but he's been cruising on autopilot for quite some time now. I really haven't enjoyed an Orton match since he came back at Summerslam

In EVERY other circumstance of this nature, it would have just been made a Triple Threat.

They really have done everything to make AJ out to be a sympathetic babyface in this scenario. Even the commentators at the end were selling how you've gotta feel bad for AJ at this point.

Orton vs Styles was a good match. That ending with Styles seeing the RKO coming was a very nice touch to the match, followed by a nice pop up RKO. I can't wait to see the build up to Orton vs. Wyatt continue. Also a disgruntled AJ Styles messing with Shane McMahon should be interesting. Smackdown was good overall.

I don't see how anyone could have legitimately wanted AJ Styles in a match that he had no place in at Wrestlemania and then complain about other crap. Well, I think Randy Orton joining the Wyatts was the first interesting thing he has done in years - he's back to the boring old Randy again. His match tonight was pretty dull - and that wasn't because of AJ. The thing is, will be Orton vs Bray be a good match? No. Will Goldberg vs Brock? No. Will Undertaker vs Roman Reigns? No. Will Shane vs AJ? I dunno, but Shane's match last year was crappy. Did WM32 suck? Yes. Do we want WM33 to suck again this year? No. A lot of people thought WM31 would suck, but we were wrong - it was really good. But WM32 blew last year. Back to back sucky Manias with part-timers in Main Events is sad. Is Bray vs boring Randy going to save it?

Tonight's match pretty much summed up exactly why I have no interest in seeing Orton/Wyatt. The match was good, not great, and suffered from a lot of the usual pitfalls of Randy Orton matches. That's against arguably the best wrestler in the world.
I'm not seeing this masterpiece booking and great storytelling people are raving about. It's a sloppy and cringy angle between a greatly damaged character and the most complacent guy on the roster.
Perhaps the reason people wanted AJ in the match is because the angle just flat out isn't very good, let alone very good for Wrestlemania, and it would be best to at least salvage a good match out of it.

Pretty much the way I feel about every feud at this point. I was just begging for something, anything, unpredictable to happen to give me any spark of interest for WrestleMania this year, but everything played out like most of us feared. I really wouldn't have had a problem with the Orton and Wyatt match taking place on the undercard, but to just think that they believe this match is the best that SmackDown has to offer once they decided to get the WWE Title involved is laughable.

I think everyone had Orton/Wyatt pegged for the Mania card and that made perfect sense, as an undercard feud. Because that's exactly what it is. The problem is, it's a prominently featured title match that more than likely won't be very good on a card filled with matches that likely won't be very good. It would be a lot easier to digest/excuse this whole thing if there was some great match up staring us in the face, but there isn't. It's a bunch of worst case scenarios with one of the most talented roster the company has ever had. People seem to forget that these two had a 15 minute match at No Mercy, and it sucked. Just like most Randy Orton matches these days.
