Thought it would have been Lesnar. Maybe he didn't want to do it though? Probably the case. Cena's great at things like this, while Brock seems to have public speaking.

Now that I think of it, I would have thought Daniel Puder before Cena. I really don't remember any real stories between Cena and Angle. Some of the funniest Kurt moments came when he feuded with Cena.

Cena inducting Angle is actually pretty fitting

I was hoping for Steve Austin. And then they both could've worn their cowboy hats on stage.

So stupid. Angle flat out said he wanted Austin, so naturally they go out and instead picked a guy who had literally zero impact on Kurt Angle's career. I mean, why doesn't Vince just have Roman induct him at this point? You are by far the biggest pessimist on this site.

You take everything as the absolute worst and hardly ever have anything positive to say. I don't know why you even waste your time watching.

I was there in Chicago when Cena made his debut against Angle. Everyone was hoping that someone cool was going to answer the challenge and out Cena came. Everyone was like this dude isn't going to be anything. Ha!

Personally I would have preferred it to be Triple H; their rivalry in 2000 IMO really helped Angle break through as a bonafide main eventer; the whole deal at SummerSlam 2000 and the stuff with Stephanie still as clear as day to me. Don't mind Cena doing it though, but agree with punksnotdead - the 'Ruthless Aggression' deal is part of Cena's story, not Angle's.

I guess it's cool Cena inducting. I would have thought it'd be him if it wasnt Austin, even though Cena was one of four that Angle wanted. I also thought the inductees got to pick who inducted them, then again, that explains why New Day inducted The Freebirds instead Kevin Von Erich

Doesn't make much sense really, but I'm fine with it. Stephanie, Triple H, Austin, Edge, Heyman, and several others would have made a lot more sense.

He states that he wants it to be Austin and goes into great detail about why. They must've told him that it wasn't happening, because he revised his quote the next time he was asked about it.

I thought that E&C would have been the best choices to induct him. Eddie and Benoit too if they were still around. Austin would have as well. Cena I'm just "meh" to.

Thought it would have been Lesnar. Maybe he didn't want to do it though? We know the deal with Brock. Everything is simply a financial decision. He does as little as possible while still doing just enough to keep that big paycheck coming in. A Hall of Fame appearance is probably not requested in his contract. Therefore, there's not a chance in hell Brock will be attending just to show respect for Kurt. He doesn't really care.

Meh, Angle is a bigger part of Cena's story than the other way around imo. I'm sure it's really cool for Cena to be up there as that guy returning the favor, so to speak, but I honestly thought guys like Austin or Shane were way better picks to induct Angle. So many guys/feuds come to mind when you say Kurt Angle's name, but Cena honestly just isn't one of them. Regardless, I'm thrilled for Kurt. Agreed 100%
