Did anybody here watch OVW(wwe's developmental territory from 99-08) when Paul Heyman booked it from July 2005-June 2006? I know he started in July 05, but not sure if June 06 is when he stopped(that's when the new ecw started). Anyway if you saw it what did you think?
Personally the only things I liked were the Cappotelli/Jeter feud and the Punk/Albright feud. I hated how a lot of those programs would start with Armando Estrada cutting long and annoying promos and I hated how he shoved that no talent Shelly Martinez down our throats! I feel before Heyman took over OVW's booking, it was a good old southern wrestling territory and he kind of ruined it by making it too "sports entertianment" like. To his credit though, he didn't rehash ecw. Cornette rehashed a lot of ideas from SMW and Crockett promotions. Don't get me wrong, I like Paul Heyman and loved what he did with ecw. Not so much OVW.
What's your opinions of Paul Heyman booking OVW?

I never saw any stuff from this era. Actually, the only OVW stuff I have ever seen is stuff that has been released on DVD over the years - so its not much!
It was kind of a waste to have Heyman down there though, but at the same time he didn't get along well with Stephanie when booking Smackdown from what I remember hearing.

Yeah the only OVW stuff I have ever seen has been on Randy Orton's last DVD set...So I can't really comment on this topic.

Maybe this should be moved to the current wwe forum as I think more of today's fans watched ovw back then than the classic fans.
