WrestleMania 2. Eh, pink and black made them stand out more and gave them a gimmick. They also had red tights at times before.

They wore...
black with blue stripes black with white stripes black with pink stripes black with yellow stripes black with blue tights black with red tights
and then went to black and pink tights
The reasoning behind it was that they had an SNME show coming up, and it was their first time on SNME, and the lady that did their tights said she had new bubble gum pink material. So Bret said, "sure" and she made them for the Harts.
Vince walked by them that day and said, "that's it! Always wear pink." So after that, the Pink & Black Attack was started!

They were eating in the arena cafeteria and got up to leave. They walked by Vince ( who was eating with Dick Ebersol ), and Vince immediately jumped up and told them to "STOP!" . Bret said he was panicking, wondering what they did wrong, while Vince gave them the once over. Then he broke into a big smirk and told them that's it, that was the one thing they were missing, and to always wear those colors from now on.

I really liked when they wore the blue. Just watched an awesome match between Dynamite vs Bret from 85 last night and he was wearing blue (as was anvil when he came out after the match)

The pink and black attack defined them. It was their gimmick, couldn't have worked out better.

I was lucky to meet Bret at a show in 2013and before he went out the curtain I told him I could watch him vs dynamite or Bulldogs vs foundation over and over and over forever lol. Only got to talk to him briefly. Love their matches.

At least then, they actually did show us classic stuff that we wanted to see! Like house shows, old WCW World Wide or WWF Action Zone shows.

See this is an example of wrestling lying to real people. I seen guys like Bret, Jim, & even Sting wear pink. They all looked awesome. So in 6th grade I bought a pink shirt. It, um... did not go over well.
