A black robe though, not a purple, blue, silver, etc. No belt isnt a deal breaker. GAB Sting didnt have one either. GAB Sting didn't have the jacket on with the belt though. That DM can be argued that it's pre-match for justification. No amount of justifying from any Mattel reps will ever make me buy in that an IC belt couldn't be included. While everyone hates them using the same stoic Macho Man sculpt over and over, this is one where I would have taken the previously existent "smiling"/intense teeth-gnashing look, since they went with a similar look anyway, as long as it meant IC belt as the compromise. Just about every picture out there of Savage @ WM III with the robe on shows him holding the belt. Mattel just lost a sale from me MOC-wise. Yeah, I'm gonna buy for loose, but if they had done it the way almost anyone/everyone would naturally PREFER, then I'd had bought AT LEAST 1 more MOC. Loose is fine, I can borrow an extra belt I have, but MOC isn't accurate and it will bother many others too, no doubt. This is one I would have definitely liked to hang on a wall, but no belt IS a deal breaker in that aspect at least. I get why it wasn't included, but drawing parallels to GAB Sting isn't the greatest analogy, because Sting did NOT have the belt before the match, but this DM of Savage is entrance attire included aka pre-match, and obviously in his case, Savage DID have the belt pre-match. Thus, to plenty of folks, that will be deemed unacceptable. They've already sold half as much to one collector, so if enough people think that way, who knows how sales will turn out. But then again, let's not kid ourselves, they took that gamble because of it not only being Savage, but coming with the robe. The new scan/headband is likely going to be their big excuse about no belt inclusion and frankly, that stinks The cost of a new head sculpt and headband is really keeping Mattel from packing in an Ic belt if true? They have this belt already produced and probably thousands upon thousands of them in hand at a warehouse.

The picture they have for Balor on RSC doesn't show his headdress and stuff... Surely he'll have those too, yeah?

Finally a rerelease of a proper mankind. About time! Is it a rerelease of the all brown Amazon exclusive or the Elite 17 white shirt and tie?

E51 is believed to be brown Amazon, and Summerslam is thought to be 1999/e17. This is only because of Ringsides preorder pics

This was their pic for Basic 62: I get all excited for a modern Basic Sting. Figure ends up being this abortion:

Lorenzo Alcazar sometimes they do though. Not always though. And b62 Sting is great. Couldve been a bit taller or an elite, but still nice. We got modern Sting in e39, HoF,and the Warrior battlepack. I did a headswap with b55 until I got the HoF figure. We ALL know how you feel/felt about that headsculpt though....

I wouldn't have thought that Macho would come with the IC belt too... but it 's a bit odd - why have that pic on the box of Macho with the IC belt - if you then don't include it? Hmmm. The picture they have for Balor on RSC doesn't show his headdress and stuff... Surely he'll have those too, yeah? Pretty sure it's just the Universal title... One of them HAS to be a brown tights/white shirt version...

It would seem like they would have time to develop a new Mankind for e51. I really hope that one at least isn't a rerelease

I missed out on the previous elite mankind but an easy way to get people to buy this would have it come with the hardcore title

Would it be possible for that Mankind to be like the basic figure that had brown tights and boots? Did he ever wear that at Summerslam?

⋔ 4 ℞ ℞ $ for arguement's sake - what if there is an IC belt under that robe? Would you then buy it MOC knowing that there is a risk that the one you have might be packaged incorrectly with a missing accessory (the I-C belt) - and you'll never know because the robe is closed? Welp, no need to do so now, as we have seen. But they were never going to put a belt UNDER the robe, imho. The Ric Flair (1st DM) with closed robe figure for instance came with a belt, which was packaged above the figure itself. Savage also carried the belt outside the robe on the ring cart and in just about every photo shown of him in that attire from that very WM III evening (including on a DM box that doesn't even have said belt inside the packaging, mind you), so it was a pretty safe bet it wasn't included, considering this: why would it be under the robe when he didn't even wear it as such? Plus Mattel knows how to package things by now. I dunno if they ever did it before, but if so, it'd be very ignorant to include a belt with a figure and not have it be CLEARLY shown in the box. Some random person passes by, has no clue prior about the figure, sees it and "Voila!" Hiding the belt would be another nonsensical issue in itself that we can discuss some other time as well. Therefore, I'd KNOW before purchasing MOC. Such an example would be when someone illegally swipes their pilfered, non-purchased belt(s) and subsequently, any given retailer cannot rid of that particular figure (usually), mainly because often times a belt is of course the selling point, but also the retailers themselves tend to not care enough to reduce the price. After all, in the case of many retailers, you can show them the issue and hand it to them, go back to the same store another day, and there it is magically having made its way back to the shelf at the same price anyways, and sans belt, at that. Thus, I can logically assume they simply do not give a damn. Customers like myself do though! Regardless of all that sidetracking, I have no need for a purchase of the inaccurate MOC DM WM III Macho Man Randy Savage. Thanks to Mattel, as they've saved me money. The belt is NOT there, but could & should have been, quite frankly, and most likely displayed in its own packaging "slot" on the plastic inner "bubble" similar to the aforementioned DM Flair.
