Yeah I have admit PJ your argument isn't making much sense saying that Amazon etc can ship for less because they ship much more and Joe Bloggs from can ship for less because they ship less. Yet because Ringside are in the middle their shipping is more expensive? Or am I reading it wrong? I glanced over what has been said but its something to the effect of: A) Typical person: If you go to a UPS store/Post Office to mail something, just one package you're going to be hit with the highest amount with no discount. B) Ringside: If you run a business and you do a fair amount of shipping, you're going to get a discount and be able to ship cheaper than A). C) Amazon: If you run a corporation and do a massive amount of shipping, you're going to get an amazing discount and ship cheaper than B). The more you ship, the cheaper your rate. If you want to do comparing, then go to ups.com or usps.com and do a price calculation.

It's very odd how something positive turns into a row. Obviously a company like amazon can ship cheaper because of the volume they ship. A random guy in the post office will obviously be the most expensive. A guy on eBay can ship cheap if he uses the global shipping programme due eBay's huge contract with shipping companies. Obviously Ringside will be dearer than amazon and eBay. They don't ship anywhere near the volume.

Obviously that reply had the double whammy of being both condescension and not reading my original post. I've ordered off NBA NFL, eBay, WWE and many other different forms and companies from America and nobody has shipping rates like RSC to Australia. Mate, while u are speaking from experience - I have plenty as well. I just finished ordering 2 figs from RSC and shipping was like 35us (before the update). I know for sure shipping of the 3 pack was at or above $50 as recently as last month. So that is pretty fair as far as I'm concerned. So the Ring u got from the bay, I promise u the seller has taken the hit for only charging u $40. As for the othet sites etc, NBA and WWE both of excellent shipping costs, but comparing them to RSC is like comparing Apple to the local computer guy. Of course there shipping is cheaper because they can wear the costs to keep their brands global. RSC is a small business at best. They simply can't take the hit on shipping and I think the rates are very fair.

Personally have to disagree. When some guy on eBay can ship me a ring for $40 and they want $110 I'm not sure fair is the first word I'd choose. As someone who orders nearly everything online due to my location I know for a fact bigger heavier items can be shipped cheaper and don't understand the pricing what so ever. Obviously you don't know how it works. A guy on eBay generally doesn't have a shipping company like UPS, FedEx, USPS have daily scheduled deliveries and pickups where the shipper will drop a trailer off for them to fill. A guy from eBay has to take it to their local hub or mailbox express store so their shipping is a whole lot cheaper. If they call the shipper to come pick it up it will cost more than if they took it to the carrier themselves.
RSC have their shipping rates set by the shippers when they set up their accounts to cover all the services they are provided by the shippers...It's all programmed in their software. And because RSC is a one facility operation their shipping rates are much higher than a global company like Amazon, TRU, etc who will have much better shipping rates because of the amount of volume they will give the shipping companies. False, its free to have a scheduled pick up in the US.

USPS - tools.usps.com/go/ScheduleAPickupAction!input.action "Your carrier can pick up your shipment free during regular mail delivery if you're using an expedited service like Priority Mail Express®, Priority Mail®, First-Class Package Service®, International, or a Return Service" Free if you use a specific service, it's a bit misleading because eBay says its free but doesn't give specifics. UPS - www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/value_added/oncall.html" Fees are applied per pickup request, regardless of the number of packages in the pickup." Not free. FedEx - www.fedex.com/us/fcl/pckgenvlp/pickup/#tab2Doesn't clearly say, I'm not diving too deep.

correct, ringside doesnt do regular mail...for some reason. So priority would be free.

Yeah, but this was about you quoting PJ and highlighting his comment and saying he was wrong with a blanket statement that pickups are free in the US. He wasn't talking about just the Post Office or just Priority mail.

Cheapest shipping for one Elite/RSC exclusive to the UK is now $19.12 - which seems pretty reasonable. I think if you order more than one figure at a time though, you're stung by Customs...

Have you considered a simple shipping cost calculator?
I spent so long adding/removing stuff from my cart and trying to work out costs and patterns through checkout on my last order.
It's kinda arduous.
