OK...I figured out for the most part how to disassemble a Basic figure...boots, arms, etc. However, I am having a horrible time with the heads. Is there a secret that I am missing for removing the heads? Jakks figures were so easy when popping on and off the heads. The Mattel figures when I have tried, instead of the head popping off, the entire little white thing that holds the pin in place comes out...what am I doing wrong? Also, on a side note, do Elite boots fit on a basic? I have never attempted taking an Elite apart, but do the boots come off the same? Thanks for anyones help on this...

You have to heat the heads up real good. It should be really easy just to pop it off. If it's heated enough, there shouldn't be any struggle.

I put it in the microwave for two/three minutes and it's really hot and then I leave the figures upper part in a cup or mug and wait about a minute. Take it out and it should be easy to pull the head off.

Easiest way to disassemble a figure is to boil a small pot of water. Drop the figure in for about 15 seconds and you can take anything off with ease. It also is a good way to sterilize and clean the figure before customizing.
