As far as great babyface wrestlers of all time whether past or present who would you say is the greatest face in wrestling history?
Well for me my top 5 babyfaces of all time for me anyway would have to be:
1- Ricky The Dragon Steamboat 2- Hulk Hogan 3- Stone Cold Steve Austin 4- Bret "The Hitman" Hart 5- The Undertaker
I dare anyone to disagree

In addition, I definitely disagree. I wouldnt have Steamboat in my top 5 nor Undertaker. Sting, Warrior and Rock would all have to be considered in the top 5 with Hogan, Austin and Hitman. Tough to truly narrow it down. Edit: Also Kevin and Kerry Von Erich. SO ING over in their hey day.

Hogan, Austin, and Sammartino were all completely perfect for the audiences of their respective times. That's really what makes a great babyface. I'd guess you could probably throw Dusty in there too.

Sting I would say Surfer Sting and Crow Sting is definitely up there given how Sting was able to change gimmicks in WCW and then in WWE yeah he has to be considered as one of the greatest babyfaces in history
Same goes for Ultimate Warrior
Austin definitely has to be there...but Rock even though he was a great babyface he was too much heel like in his bravado even as a babyface
Hitman in the 90s he was over as hell as a babyface
I would say Cena before his 2005 run like his run as The Doctor of Thuganomics he was downright entertaining he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand

I think the argument could be made that Bret made the era he was in too as the face of the company in WWE in the 90s...Hitman was the centerpiece so how could he not be considered for greatest babyface or at least in the discussion
How about Goldberg? I would say Goldberg in WCW during the Monday Night Wars Bill Goldberg even to this day has to be considered a great babyface even now as the WWE Universal Champion

The others were very successful heels. Overall babyfaces has to go to Steamboat and Sting.

Expect Hogan was a heel in his WCW days as Hollywood Hogan in the nWo and Sting at one time or another was a heel in WCW too well when he was The Crow in like 99 and then Dusty he too was also a heel when he aligned himself with the nWo as well at one point
Steamboat I don't think was ever a heel in his career
I know Backlund was and Bruno I don't think he was ever a heel either

My list of top faces 1) Hulk Hogan 2) Sting 3) Ricky Steamboat 4) Ultimate Warrior 5) Rey Mysterio Jr Honorable Mention: Jeff Hardy

Daniel Bryan he has to be considered as one of the greatest babyfaces of the modern era all be it he had a relatively short run at the top
Another mention definitely has to be Jeff Hardy but CM Punk also has to be mentioned too well his babyface work as the Voice of the Voiceless from 2011-12 was the best babyface work I have seen in a while

You missed out The Rock and Macho Man.. There's plenty of room to disagree with your list without being 'dared' to. Steamboat may have remained a face throughout his career (which is no doubt the leverage behind your 'dare') but he's far from the 'greatest babyface of all time'... Although Steamboat, for me personally, is one of the greatest in ring performers of all time. Just saying.. When it comes to whom was the greatest at being likeable, "babyface", I suppose you've got to factor general popularity within pop culture in. Therefore Hogan is always number 1, and The Rock/Randy Savage are arguably in there in place of Bret and Undertaker.. And the nationwide popularity and genuine widespread admiration for Dusty during his run as top babyface of NWA is near incomparable with anybody. The connection Dusty had with the public during that time can never be imitated, he was absolutely loved. You dared me, but it wasn't too hard actually!

-- Lou Thesz (even thou he worked like a tweener, when TV became a thing, he was the #1 good guy).
Guys like Dusty Rhodes ~ Bruno Sammartino ~ Bob Backlund ~ Verne Gagne ~ Andre The Giant ~ Hulk Hogan ~ Sting ~ Bret Hart ~ Macho Man - Ultimate Warrior ~ Stone Cold....... again so many to choose, even Rock and Cena.
Again, can't decide based on the factors.

Hulk Hogan.
There's no denying it - he was over from '84 until at least '95.
