I don't have a 1/12 scale Storm Collectibles figure to go off of, but I would imagine that it's probably very similar to other 'import' figures in that size.
So if you're familiar at all with s.h. figuarts, revoltech, etc then I'm assuming it'll be much like that. Typically with the joints we see on figures like that, you can sort of pull the joint out a bit to get a fuller range of motion. Kinda like a hinged ball joint.
The figuarts DBZ goku, for example, has a ball joint at the waist and you're able to sort of pull it out slightly. It's hard to explain but basically what it's doing is adding to the total range of motion. So imagine that you can bend forward/backward at the waist at about 45 degrees. Now you're able to pull the upper torso out of its seated position from inside the lower torso. Doing so pulls it out and away from something, like clothing or a belt that would inhibit the range of motion, so now instead of only being able to bend 45 degrees at the waist, you might be able to a full 90 degrees.
The same goes for arms. Imports usually employ a 'butterfly joint' which is essentially a hinged pectorial joint (jakks UFC, Brown suit wolverine & pizza spidey marvel legends). But on top of that, the ball jointed shoulders will pull out a bit allowing for greater range, like being able to cross arms.
Check out some reviews on YouTube, it's kinda hard to explain it but a visual will make more sense

Duh it just dawned on me...the figuarts wwe figures are in the exact same boat. But that's why they're great...the added articulation was born to be used on a wrestling figure. Just the pectorial swivel alone makes posing and playing so much more achievable and realistic
As far as the Hogan boots go though...yeah that's basically just poor design choice imo. I feel like there are ways of closing that gap better without compromising motion. Hell, most marvel legends these days have those fantastic pivot ankles

I got two Ryu figures, one MIB and one to play. I've been posing him a lot over at least a month and haven't noticed any looseness. Not saying it won't over time, but so far, so good. He actually feels sturdier than the other imports.

I hope he arrives today, or this week at least. I think RSC probably would've told us the good news if that was the case though. It'll be fun to put him up against Sting and pose him with the rest of the nWo.

I really don't understand how anyone could not like this. It's almost the perfect figure. Really my only complaint is that the boas are a bit too short. This thing is amazing.

As long as it gets to me by Friday I'll be in good shape since we're leaving Saturday. Otherwise it would basically be yet another week until I'd have it. C'mon Storm & RSC, hook us up!
