Just wondering what everyone thinks about the heightening tensions with the situation with North Korea?
- we've got a battlegroup headed there right now.
- Chinese massing 150,000 troops on the Korean border, haven't said if they're there to assist NK or go against them.
- NK threatening to launch nukes if any attack comes
- Trump saying he will go it alone and take care of NK if they do any more Nuke tests or launch any more missiles
- all indications are NK will test a nuke again tomorrow.
...the Syria situation had people on edge due to tension with Russia, but this situation could literally spiral out of control any minute. You have Chinese state TV saying war could break out any time now.

The thing with North Korea, is there is more of a wild card factor than what happened with Syria. It was a given, that if something happened in Syria, Russia was going to back them, 100%. With North Korea, and that giant sack of human waste, running it, there's not the 100% guarantee that China is going to back them. There have been some indications of China starting to get fed up with him and his complete detachment from reality, so at least to us, the normal person watching this unfold, there's no given of what China would do.

N Korea is just testing nukes. Theyre not launching them. The US has 3000 nuclear weapons and N Korea isnt even in the top 10 countries with the most nukes.

North Korea really wants to be hot crapin the world but they're just a warm fart. I realize nuclear warheads are nothing to kid about but they dont have any capability to even get them here unless its by ship. We all know if North Korea gets anywhere close to the US shoreline they're going to get blown out of the water. On top of that if your arsenal only contains 15-20 warheads, do you really want to launch an attack like that against a military that has thousands of them?

North Korea has been puffin its chest out for years and I for one would not be disappointed if someone decided to finally shut them the  up. I'm super sick of hearing about Kim Jong Un and NK.. We give them the credit that they don't deserve. We treat them like a super power.. Give them headlines. They're NOTHING. |

Late night comedians aren't considered invaluable sources of credible news in every part of the world. I think that phenomenon primarily a North America and (parts of) Europe thing. |

China has pledged its support to the US. I too am hoping Trump drops an MOAB on NK. I dont think its a scary time to be alive. I have faith in the President that he will no hesitate to people up. He has made it clear that the time for talking is over and the time for action is upon us. the US is not trying to make friends. We are trying to protect our own, by whatever means necessary. A time of isolationism is much needed and something I have called for in the past 15 years. We need to get our own crapin order before we can assist, playing big brother, to others. |
