Is it just me or did it seem like the spot with Benoit, Guerrero, and Holly all chopping Puder seem like a hazing or a humbling lesson?

It's been talked about by guys that were there that it was absolutely hazing. Puder was purposely sent out there with three of the most intense guys in the locker room knowing they all didn't like him.

If I recall, this dude had INSANE heat due to taking liberties with Kurt Angle (didn't even think that was possible) on Tough Enough, as well as generally being an asshat.

One of the classic on-screen examples of wrestling bullying. I bet JBL was regretting being the champion that night, he'd have loved to be in there with the rest of the Bully Club abusing the trust of the rookie.

OMG reading this just gave me an idea for a slight gimmick change for Gallows and Anderson. They should pick up a third guy, and instead of being the Club they should be the Bully Club. They just go around picking on other wrestlers and trying to intimidate them. Gallows can keep chiming in with "NERDS!"

"Does the Garden even hold that many people?" "It did that night."

Regarding Puder, that was typical wrestling hazing and thank goodness that disrespectful man never made the main roster.

I highly doubt the guys of MMA/UFC put their newcomers through that type of "hazing." Same for NFL or MLB. 3 on 1 and a UFC guy would destroy Holly, Guerrero or Benoit in 2005. And that idea is probably what fueled the guys like Holly, Guerrero and Benoit. These WWE wrestlers want everyone to take them so seriously as athletes. Hard to do that when they are practicing the mentality of college frat boy, with violent tendencies.

Even though the chop business at RR05 wasn't what I would call hazing. More of like a " you" to Puder. They didn't even make him streak around the quad with bananas up his ass.

Agreed I wish daniel puder hadnt been bullied out he was a great shoot fighter and would have beat the world champ for real whether Vinne O Mcmahon wanted him to or not so they had to fire him.

Was not a fan of Puder, but I'll say this for him, he would have made a great heel. He just had that arrogant, punchable face......but would have drawn money if they positioned him as unbeatable due to his background. I don't mean draw in the way Lesnar did either....i mean in that "will somebody please beat this guys ass" way.......that being said, since i wasn't a fan, i kinda dug the chopfest he recieved. Lol
