I can see the spark of hope with this character. I saw it with the Vaudevillians and his mic skills are really good.
What do you think?

I am really hoping they do something with him. The Artiste is easy to get behind and can work well as both a face and heel. Wonder if they're gonna do anything with how he reacted after losing where he screamed "IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS!"
Felt real sorry for Aiden when he was crying after losing, good actor.

That gimmick is destined to stay exactly where its at on the card right now.

Crying is not a great gimmick

I had a total Vince moment after the match last night. After the match JBL called him the phantom of the opera and now I want to see him do a gimmick like that. Always appearing out of nowhere from afar similar to what the Drifter is doing on Raw with a little bit of 90's Sting.

They're setting him up to replace Mahal as resident jobber on Smackdown I'm afraid.

Shoulda been sent back to NXT to work on a new character when Gotch was released.

Yeah, he'll be used like Curt Hawkings and job out to everyone. He's already doing that on house shows. He fights one person and loses, and then someone else comes out and beats him as well. Hawkings had that pleasure for the past year.

I honestly thought they were gonna rehash Christian's tantrum gimmick when he was crying.

like it or not, rosters and cards need jobbers. And unfortunately Aiden's current gimmick doesn't lend him to be shooting up the card. With Jinder getting a main event push, you now need some enhancement guys to get the main eventers over. When Nakamura is done with Ziggler, he'll move on to English.
Don't feel sad though, these guys are getting paid a ton for 2-3 minute squashes.

He's got potential, but at best I would predict a Heath Slater type run, where he's a jobber for years and builds up enough goodwill to get a little push for a while before falling back down the card.

Much like Darren Young, I've yet to be impressed with Aiden English. I just don't see it. I'm open to having my mind changed, but I do not foresee it happening.

I like him... Like the vaudvillians... But hated his artist gimmick. Let him stay as a throw back strong man.

Not every worker on the roster needs to be pushed.

He is the "Damien Sandow" of this era for the WWE.
So no, Aiden English isn't gonna be doing a whole helluva lot. The fact he has an NXT Tag Title to his name is amazing!

I still find it mind blowing that he's Eddie Guerrero's son in law.

I have a feeling he's going to end up being my most favorite jobber since Santino....
