It's like Dixie was actually keeping that company from going even more into crap. Everyone was so sure things would get better with her gone, but seriously, since she left, it's gotten worse, to where it's affecting other companies and wrestlers now.

I think Impact has some cool wrestlers and through all their ups and downs has always had potential for a great product, so I just stay somewhat up to date and hope for the best. You could leave your event thinking "hey at least it meant I got to see ________", so hope for that. Like the last little while after seeing pretty much all the WWE guys I wanted to or the guys I want to see have mostly retired, I'd like to see Abyss...especially if he brings the mask back.

It sucks for the fans looking forward to the World of Sport Wrestling coming back. Impact Wrestling really did not need to be involved as deep as they are with this. The most they should have gone was as a working relationship between the two instead of being co producers. Have a couple Impact guys there and WOS guys on Impact

Because ITV want Anthem to pay for the bulk of the production costs.

Because ITV want Anthem to pay for the bulk of the production costs. Seriously? Where've you heard that? ITV must surely have far deeper pockets than Impact!

Because ITV want Anthem to pay for the bulk of the production costs. Seriously? Where've you heard that? ITV must surely have far deeper pockets than Impact! I'm not sure what the financial status of ITV is compared to Anthem, but ITV has no intention of digging deep into the pocket to produce a show like this. The intention with WOS is to be cheap and cheerful programming. ITV funded a pilot, but they can't (/don't want to) run an actual wrestling promotion, and have no "wrestling people" to plan/script an ongoing series. ITV execs are smart enough to know that they can't just jump into being wrestling promoters with no idea about that world. The idea from ITV's end is basically that Anthem run the promotion and ITV give them the TV time, the way the old WOS just purchased footage from UK promoters, but they haven't agreed on the specific involvements and finances. The weak ticket sales seemed to put both sides on edge in case it was a flop, wanting to limit their own financial risk. It's a bad sign that they couldn't make it happen for their planned tapings, but it may still happen in future.

Yeah, they've refunded the tickets and said we get priority when they re-schedule the date (if that ever happens), but my wife is going to give birth next month so it's going to be a long while before we can just go to a wrestling show together again, and with it being on my actual birthday this time it couldn't have been more perfect. I'm so bitterly disappointed.
