1. He was over in NXT and was their longest reigning champ at that time
2. He debuted on the main roster with a big push and an undefeated streak
3. The gimmick seemed to be catching on before they pulled the plug on him
4. These figures are put into production nearly a year in advance and Mattel can not always predict who will still be relevant when it hits the shelves

I bo-leive in bo. Elite36 was decent. His nxt run was pretty good. He was 16 and bo on the main roster until r truth of all people beat him.

The Bo-Lieve stuff was just the right kind of goofy/funny that they needed after Santino retired. He played the part of a foolish boob really well.

He was a former NXT Champion and he was supposed to have a longer undefeated streak at the main roster level until Vince woke up one day and said  it, pulled the plug and had R-Truth beat him. It made sense for him to have a figure AT THE TIME, but looking back, nothing has come of him, really. |

I imagine his family connections contribute partially. Bill said a while back that the Wild Samoans were partially chosen because of their connection to Reigns.

This is likely to happen again.
Why?
Not every star in NXT is going to go on and 'make it' on the main roster. Some are going to Max out in NXT and MDT seems to have a bit of man crush on guys from NXT. And rightly so, but when we look back we are going to question why we have a figure of X, when we don't have a flashback of Y.
This argument could be made for the Accession, Awesome figures, but if you look at their main roster time they are 1 step above jobbers at this point. And much like Dallas, they had a big push up front and then amounted to jack sh*t.
All that said, I'll take the odd 'mistake' (assuming you see it that way) so we get figures like e41 Finn, KO and Joe's debut figures etc.

Its a great looking figure and I bought it at full price when it first came out in stores. Like others said, he was NXT Champion and had something good going with the Bo-Lieve motivational speaker gimmick.
