What are some interesting facts about different matches, programs, events etc. that you've noticed, but were not acknowledged by WWE commentary or the discussion panels?
I thought of this after realizing that Austin Aries had to wait 17 years to perform in front of the Wrestlemania crowd. I understand that fact is debatable in terms of its importance, but I for one felt quite happy to finally see Aries get to wrestle in front of the largest crowd of his career after putting forth so much effort.
Any interesting facts or observations anyone would like to contribute?

When HHH faced off against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27 and 28, their match at Wrestlemania X7 was never mentioned

There's a rumor that Vince wasn't a fan of ABA/Big Evil Taker, so the matches with HHH at X7 an the previous feud with Brock wasn't outright acknowledged

That Reigns was NOT about to beat Lesnar at Mania until Rollins cashed in.

You want us to find random facts that they didn't talk about in thousands of matches?
Dave Meltzer, is that you?

During Sting's feud with HHH they pretended that he had not been seen since WCW fell despite it was common knowledge that he spent the rest of his career in TNA.
When DX returned in 2006 and 2009 there was no mention at all of Road Dogg, X-Pac, Billy Gunn and Chyna, it was as if they had never existed.
When AJ defended the World title on Smackdown last year they said that it was the first time it had ever been defended on Smackdown.
Originally Edge and Christian were brothers but when they interacted again in 2004 they were now former best friends with no brother link.
When Shawn Michaels and Undertaker collided at the 2007 Royal Rumble no one mention that it was the first time they had wrestled each other in 9 years.
There are many more but this is all I can think of.

-- Can name an instance last night on SDL...
KO (shouting to DZ): GET YOUR REVENGE FROM LAST NIGHT!
Tom (play-by-play): Kevin Owens shouting 'get your revenge from Backlash, 2 nights ago' to Dolph Ziggler.
It's so off, it's not even a paraphrase lol.

Most interesting facts aren't pointed out by commentary every show because it is terrible and they don't even call moves anymore.

That time they said Cena was the only guy to ever let his opponent know when he was cashing in his MITB completely disregarding the fact they built an entire PPV around RVD doing that exact thing.

During the WM25 Michaels v Taker, they were talking about the how Taker has never beaten HBK 1on1. They got to the 1st HIAC and I believe JR said "Michaels used every trick in the book to defeat the Undertaker that night."
They glossed over the fact that Michaels victories in HIAC and Casket were because of Kane interference.

Thats Smackdown Live, because 6 other dudes can say they built the old Smackdown.

Not exactly what Turnbuckle Phil meant with this example, but a fact i do find quite interesting, they go out of their way to mention Dolph Zigglers MiTB win and subsequent successful cash in. However they never mention who he cashed in on. Now i know its standard WWE policy to not mention wrestlers who left the company, BUT,considering his recent anti WWE comments,I'm surprised they haven't taken every opportunity to bury Del Rio on that cash in. If this were 1996,and Eric Bischoff were around, we'd be reminded of EXACTLY who Ziggles bested for that title....lol

Maven beat the Undertaker by pinfall.
Should have been mentioned during every Undertaker match.

When HHH faced off against the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 27 and 28, their match at Wrestlemania X7 was never mentioned Triple H mentioned it with a throwaway line during a promo on the Raw after 'Mania, if I recall correctly. That was as close as they came to acknowledging it though. Something about Taker in a 'different form' or something.

I always find it funny how come Royal Rumble time, they always talk about how tough it is to draw number one when whomever draws number two starts at the same time and has to be in there for the whole match to win, just like the first guy would.

Yup,thats quite annoying, but i think there were a few times where the color guy let common sense prevail. I believe Jesse Ventura and Gorilla Monsoon both immediately come to mind as mentioning this. And, i thought JR did once as well. But ,for the most part, it just been something avoided as to put the suspense on the traditional number 1 pick. Its a better story to tell, as far as the way it sounds, to say "Shawn Michaels lasted all the way from number 1 to 30!" As opposed to "HBK came in at number 2 to win it all".....marketing basically.

They could say that the No.2 entrant won by starting the Rumble from the beginning of the match. It's always irritated me too, in they never give Davey Boy Smith the credit he deserves for starting Rumble '95 with HBK at No.2 and yet almost won it by being the last one left and made me think he had actually won it, until Shawn made a despicable sneak attack!! Total miscarriage of justice that the mark in me will never forgive Shawn & Vince for!!! Anyway, back to facts that they don't mention: They acknowledge that Styles, Lesnar and Nakamura have faced each other in Japan, but never mention the outcomes!
