93-96 called. Says you must not have been paying attention. Those years weren't as bad as people make out. I think 1993 was good, 94 was good for the most part, 1995 was horrible and 1996 was great IMO.

Hope he gets hired he could have turned WCW around if backstage politicians like DDP and Jericho weren't around Jericho left WCW months before Russo worked there.

At best he could be a consultant, but a lot of his stuff is just ridiculious.
My vote is fire all the writers - hire JR and Prichard to team w Vince for all creative and fire every writer. Of course that won't happen, but that's my fantasy

I would rather see a bunch of us added to creative then to see him return. Never before has someone did so much with so little actual talent than Russo.

Have to say, even with his booking "talent" aside, I'd be very happy to never see Vince Russo employed by WWE ever again. A quick glance over his Twitter feed revealed him to be a disgraceful, completely classless human being, with very strong views against millennials.

From Russo himself...
That sort of thinking is exactly why he's a cancer to the wrestling business. And in 2017, people want him writing for a publicly traded company? Not a good idea... sorry.

Lol he's totally delusional. For one thing, he's making dumb homophobic comments that make no sense. Russo is bashing the very same business that made him every dime he has. LMFAO at the Balor thing too. Finn is a wrestler(most of them don't wear shirts BTW), so you don't have to "scour the Internet" to find a picture of him with his shirt off.

It's almost like he doesn't realize that the entire industry is built around sweaty men grabbing each other in essentially their underwear. He sure does have one beautiful mind.

Oh, he's reached out, has he? I'm sure they'll be thrilled to have such an esteemed mind back in their employ! Look at all the brilliant things he accomplished in the last decade! There was... uh... him being fired from TNA. And... uh... that great list he made of who he'd release last month. Hey, stop underselling Russo. His interaction with TNA got Spike to cancel Impact. He gets things done to the extreme.

I would rather let some randos from WF work in WWE creative than Russo. Paddle on a pole match. Bliss vs Bayley...Loser gets bent over the winners knee and paddled 15 times Wrong, Russo is a devout Christian now (or some sh*t). Plus, it would be and always would have been a Bayley's Dad on a Pole match.

He gets things done to the extreme. Don't forget he also got them taken off Destination America by calling the network and convincing them TNA was a sinking ship. Of course, his goal was to get himself a job, but they decided there was no point in spending the extra money on something that was heading downhill and just dumped it. Russo is slime, and I can't believe anyone thinks him returning would be a good thing.

Attitude era was the best era, so it couldn't hurt to try something new
