Hey all,
Bought 2 figures off of eBay and they reek of cigarettes! Tried washing them as well as let them sit in baking soda for a week and still the smell is as strong as ever.
Do you guys have any advice?
Thanks Mark

I've seen someone say leave them in a plastic bag with a dryer sheet.

I've had luck with soap and water and letting them dry near a fan. Good luck.

Give them an intervention. Seriously though, I think they smell just goes away as time passes. Gonna have to wait it out I'm afraid.

Put them outside in a shaded area for a couple days.

Plastic bag with an open box of baking soda. It take A LONG time. If these are not essential figures, I'd complain and return them.

I let buyers know in the description that the figure(s) does/do not come from a smoke free home, as my figures do not come from a smoke free home. But here recently I've been shipping out loose figures wrapped in a dryer sheet. I've even sent some MOC ones with some dryer sheets.

I sprayed some that I received with Febreeze. Then sprayed the inside of a ziploc bag with Febreeze. Sealed it up and that really seemed to do the trick. If you don't want to do that...you have every right to send them back. If the seller didn't mention the smell...that is significantly not as described.

Cig smoke is nasty to a non smoker. All sellers should mention it in their auctions. I should not have to soak the figure in baking soda or Febreeze, etc.

How much does one have to smoke to make their action figures reek?Imagine all the money theyd have for figs if they didn't smoke? Instead they have to sell theirs for cigarette money. Sad!
