RAW is WAR December 8th, 1997 Hosts: Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Kevin Kelly and Michael ColeStone Cold Steve Austin opens RAW to a big pop. Austin: Last night I opened up a big can of whoop a$$ on DX. Shawn Michaels thought he could bring me down for the count, but there is no way he can because Stone Cold is standing right here in the middle of the ring 100%. So Vince whose the next sob you have for me because I think I deserve a chance at a shot for the WWF Championship. Vince: (on the stage platform) What makes you think I'm going to give you a shot at the WWF Championship. In fact the only way you even have a chance is at the Royal Rumble. Austin: You want me to take on 29 other sons of bit$hes well I don't give a damn who they are I'll go through all of them... Vince: O really (has a smirk)? In your own words Austin, in your own words! You'll have to beat 29 other men at the Royal Rumble, and I mean it literally. That's right, Stone Cold you'll be No. 1, the first entrant in the Rumble! You don't stand a chance Austin and hell Austin I don't even think you can make it to Wrestlemania after I'm done with you! (laughs) The Godwinns fought Legion of Doom to a Double DQ. Los Boricuas (w/Savio Vega) def. The Disciples of Apocalypse (8-Ball & Skull) via pinfall
Jeff Jarrett (RAW return) def. Salvatore Sincere via pinfall
Marc Mero (w/Sable) def. Flash Funk via pinfall. Mero "outboxes" Funk during the match. Mero has been frustrated with his loss against Chyna. Sable starts to pose in a bikini for the fans, but Mero grabs his towel and wraps it around her taking her to the back. Bret "the Hitman" Hart (c) def. Kama Mustafa via submission to retain the WWF Championship. After the match, the Truth Commission come out with "Kurgan the Interrogator" the "seven-foot giant". Bret puzzled as Jackyl gets on the mic. Jackyl: (laughs) You know Bret, you've got a lot of guys to take on in the back, but have you ever faced a man like Kurgan? Have you ever stepped in the ring with him I mean look at the size of Kurgan. So how about a title shot? Bret: First of all I don't appreciate you ruining my moment here. And secondly, I can take on anyone at anytime, but who in the world do you think you are? Kurgan you may be seven feet tall, but I've faced guys like Diesel, the Undertaker and Kane. I've faced monsters in the ring, and from the looks of it, Kurgan doesn't even have half the brains they do or is in the same league as them. Jackyl: Why don't you feel his wrath? The Truth Commission fight Bret, Bret knocks them all down as Jackyl runs to the outside. However Kurgan grabs Bret and starts to choke him. Bret gets into a corner till Kurgan lifts him up and chokeslams him to the outside! Bret is hurt badly especially his "bad knee" that has been hurt for a month as RAW goes off air.

I knew Austin would have to be in the Rumble and to be there at #1 this is it for Austin because if he wants his title shot at the WWF Championship he is going to have to outlast 29 other guys that means being in the match for at least an hour maybe even more and the last time someone won the Rumble from #1 it was 3 years ago in 1995 when Michaels won it as #1

Santa: I'm expecting Sable! Austin: I don't care who you're expecting, why did you kick out that kid? Did she bother you? Did she ask too much? Are you even the real Santa Claus? Santa: Yes I am the real Santa! Austin: You are? You don't look like him although you are a fat piece of $hit that I can see. I've been wanting to ask Santa something all my life. When I was six years old, I was a good little sob all year, I wanted something badly what did I want? Santa: Let me remember...it was a barbie doll! Austin: That's the problem see Santa I got nothing for Christmas that year. I was sitting there and some fat piece of trash ate all the damn cookies and milk that I left for Santa and he gave me nothing. The real Santa would've given me a present and well you look like that same fat piece of trash that I remember... Santa: Then how about I give you the gift you've always wanted when you were a kid it's right in here (looks in the bag), wait just a minute you've been a naughty boy this year haven't you. Austin: I have? Santa: Yes, well you've been flipping your boss, you use vulgar language, in fact you've been bad to Mr. McMahon. Mr. McMahon is a good man. So I think a lump of coal is what you deserve. Austin: Well I got a present for you Mr. Santa....(STUNNER!) Austin beats up Santa and tosses him out of the ring. He gives a present to the kid and tosses the rest of the presents to the audience as RAW goes off air.

I would have thought that Rock he would cause the other members to turn on Faarooq...Rock I would have expected him to pull a swerve and have him overthrow Faarooq as leader...if anything it could only help Rock if that happens

Faarooq: You have no choice. You want to be in the Nation you have to prove yourself. The Rock (c) vs. Kama & D-Lo Brown in a Handicap Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
One member of the Nation has to pin the Rock to gain the title. Faarooq watches with Mark Henry on the outside. - A new calendar year in this diary we are officially in the year of 1998...which sees the rise of Austin and Rock among others in this Attitude Era so to see The Nation of Domination under new leadership with The Rock being the new leader being already WWF Intercontinental Champion I was expecting him, Kama, D'Lo and Henry to turn on Faarooq beating the holy hell out of him and then kicking him out of the group but no in a swerve Faarooq accepts his role in not being leader anymore but Faarooq is the weakest link in the Nation and there is no room for the weak so I don't understand why they still keep him around
- Jeff Jarrett becoming the new NWA North American Heavyweight Champion beating Windham...you only know what this means he will bring in Jim Cornette as his manager
- The New Age Outlaws...two fifths of DX still the WWF Tag Team Champions after beating The Headbangers it makes me wonder just who they will defend their titles against next?
- Kurrgan ever since debuting he has more or less been a monster a freak of nature beating opponent after opponent beating multiple superstars at once at the same time...he is definitely deserving of a WWF Championship match at the 1998 Royal Rumble pay per view but then again Bret Hart is defending his WWF Championship against a monster a giant in Kurrgan so it begs the question of if Bret can even lock in the Sharpshooter on Kurrgan because he is so huge he is as wide as a door almost and his legs are huge as well
- Vader has a new valet and it is none other than Luna Vachon...I wonder what brought this pairing about? And Vader beating Goldust I wonder if this rivalry will carry over into the PPV?
- I wonder if there will be any other matches added to the 1998 Royal Rumble PPV card? I mean we already know that the WWF Championship will be defended but how about the WWF Intercontinental Championship? Or how about the WWF Tag Team Championship? Then there is the Casket Match between Michaels and Taker also happening and then there is the 1998 Royal Rumble Match itself...30 superstars 1 winner and the winner gets a WWF Championship match in the main event of WrestleMania XIV

Marc Mero (w/"Sable") via pinfall. Apparently Goldust dresses up as Sable and Mero brings Goldust out calling her "Sable". Vader wants a match with Goldust at the Rumble. Bret "the Hitman" Hart runs out from the crowd, grabs a steel chair and smashes it over Kurgan's back! However Kurgan no sells it, Hart looks afraid and smashes the chair over his head. Royal Rumble is this Sunday and the final card being the 1998 Royal Rumble Match...30 superstars 1 winner and the winner headlines WrestleMania 14 in the main event with Stone Cold Steve Austin being the #1 entrant per order of Mr. McMahon and his stooges if Stone Cold wants a title shot he has to outlast 29 other guys in the match that means he has to throw 29 other guys over the top rope that means he is going to have to be in there for at least an hour maybe even more
Rock has to defend his WWF Intercontinental Championship against Ken Shamrock at the Rumble...I wonder if The Nation will get involved here in this match? Or will they somehow be barred from ringside?
Vader facing Goldust...I mean I wonder if we could see a swerve here in this match that being Goldust turning on Marlena in favor of Luna with Luna turning on Vader in favor of Goldust?
Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker in a Casket Match...I mean this is where Shawn Michaels gets his back injury I mean it is well documented that this is where Michaels went out with his back injury which kept him out for 4 years I mean he more or less sustained it here in this match and he more or less wrestled until WrestleMania 14 and then he was gone for 4 years not even you can change that no amount of history can change that because Michaels his back injury was pretty serious it ended his career for practically 4 years
But then Bret "The Hitman" Hart defending his title against Kurrgan in the WWF Championship match...Bret Hart definitely in for one of the toughest title defenses he has ever had

Here is hoping you put a lot of detail into your 1998 Royal Rumble Match instead of just a recap...I definitely want to read it all from start to finish and actually be entertained during not only this match but every other on this PPV card

Royal Rumble January 18th, 1998 San Jose Arena, California Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry LawlerMike Tyson is shown in attendance in the VIP box and throughout the event he cheers on (and even cheers for Austin). Vader (w/Luna Vachon) def. Goldust (w/Marlena & Marc Mero) via pinfall. Marc Mero shows up with Goldust to join him for the match. The real Sable appears in a bikini and she ends up distracting BOTH Goldust AND Marlena. Mero goes nuts trying to cover Sable, but Sable slaps him! Vader manages to pound on Goldust and land the Vaderbomb for the win. ________________________________________________________ Ken Shamrock def. The Rock (c) (w/NoD) via Submission to become the NEW WWF Intercontinental Champion.
During the match, Faarooq was less enthusiastic and doesn't like to listen to the Rock. The Rock impressively lays the smackdown on Shamrock, but the finish ends with Faarooq "accidentally" swiping the Rock's legs when he hit the ropes. The Rock falls and "twists his ankle" for Shamrock to lock in the ankle lock for the win! In the back, The Rock goes nuts on Faarooq who cost him the Intercontinental Championship. Faarooq says that he didn't do anything and the NoD surround Faarooq. The Rock says he'll be watching Faarooq closely. ________________________________________________________ Shawn Michaels (c) (w/Chyna, Triple H and Rude) def. The Undertaker in a Casket Match for the WWF European Championship.
There isn't much to change in this match as it originally happened except the finish and outside interference. Shawn DOES get seriously injured when he lands on the casket. The New Age Outlaws run out to help out take down Taker. The finish ends with Kane making an appearance in the middle of the ring as he stands and brings flames to the ring. Kane lands the tombstone piledriver on Taker for Shawn to roll Taker in. As Shawn lays on his back in the ring, Kane locks the casket with Paul Bearer and TAKES IT TO THE BACK with him! ________________________________________________________ Bret "the Hitman" Hart (c) vs. Kurgan (w/Jackyl) for the WWF Championship Bret tries to take down Kurgan early on to no avail. Kurgan lands a big boot, clothesline and goes for the clawhold early on, but Bret manages counter it and work on Kurgan's legs as he does best. Kurgan takes Bret to the outside as Bret grabs a chair and smashes it over Kurgan's legs. The referee gives a warning to Bret. Kurgan gets angry and lands the clawhold on the outside! Kurgan gets back in, but Jackyl shouts at Kurgan to get Bret back in otherwise no title. Kurgan gets back out and tosses Bret back in at ease. Kurgan holds the clawhold on, but Bret tries to fight. He lands on his knees and goes for a low blow! Kurgan is hurt badly, and Lawler thinks Bret found his weakness. Bret hits the ropes for a bulldog and lands it. Bret now has the advantage working on Kurgan's legs till he tries to go for the sharpshooter, but isn't able to lock it in. Bret goes to the second rope for the knee-elbow drop, only to be met with Kurgan's boot. Kurgan is up and starts to choke on Bret into a corner. Bret climbes to the top, but Bret manages to drop his weight locking in the armbar over the ropes. Kurgan tries to lift Bret, but Bret won't let go. The referee breaks the hold telling Bret that it's still a rope break. Bret manages to drop Kurgan over to the outside. Bret goes to the top rope for a crossbody, but Kurgan grabs Bret and drops him into the table! Bret is hurt now as Kurgan tosses him back in. He goes for his finisher, but Bret rolls out of the ring. The Jackyl gets in some cheap shots. Bret is hurt, but manages to drop Jackyl and goes for the sharpshooter on the outside! Jackyl is tapping out like crazy as Kurgan breaks the hold and tosses Bret back in. Kurgan is on the apron till Bret hits the ropes for a spear into Kurgan who falls to the outside. The big man is hurt on the outside till Bret makes it back in for the ten count. Winner: Bret "the Hitman" Hart via Countout to retain the WWF Championship________________________________________________________ 30 Man Battle Royal to determine the No. 1 Contender for WWF Championship at Wrestlemania XIV
Vince McMahon makes his way out with his stooges to sit at ring side to watch Austin fail. Austin makes his way out first and flips off Vince as he gets in the ring to a pop. Austin awaits and outcomes Chainsaw Charlie as the second entrant. Austin starts to land several punches and they go at it till the third entrant is none other than CACTUS JACK. Jack returns from his Mankind persona believed to be "fixed" by Chainsaw Charlie. Jack runs into the ring and attacks Austin, but Austin stuns Jack and tosses Charlie to the outside. The fourth entrant is The Rock. Austin at the Rock go at it with Jack in a corner watching. Austin and the Rock are firing lefts and rights till Owen Hart makes his way out to break them, but Jack goes after Owen. Entrants 5-10 = Skull, Tom Brandi, Mosh, Phinaes Godwinn, and Bradshaw
Austin continues to work on the Rock, while tossing out Mosh. The Rock now focuses his attention on Bradshaw. Entrants 11-20 = 8-Ball, Steve Blackman, D-Lo Brown, Kurgan, Marc Mero, Ken Shamrock, Trasher, Goldust, Jeff Jarrett, and Honky Tonk Man
Austin, the Rock and Cactus Jack continue to survive. Austin throws out Trasher, the Rock throws out Goldust, Jack throws out Jeff. The Rock works on Jack. Austin decides throws out Shamrock as the Rock throws out Jack. Austin and the Rock are left. Entrants 21-26 = Triple H, Kama Mustafa, Henry O Godwinn, Savio Vega, Mark Henry, and ChainzAustin starts to clean house as the Rock was tossed under the ropes, but is still legal. Austin sits on the corner waiting for each entrant. Austin tries to go after the Rock who just tossed over Triple H, till Faarooq makes his way out as the 27th Entrant. Faarooq attacks Austin and the Rock helps him. It's a double team as Austin tries to fight back, but is too exhausted. Vince demands that the Nation destroy Austin. Vader comes in as the 28th Entrant. As the Rock spits in his hand and goes for a big punch on Austin, Austin ducks and he lands it on Faarooq! Austin clotheslines Faarooq to the outside and lands a stunner on the Rock. Vader is in and starts pounding on Austin. Vince is getting frustrated now and demands that Vader destroy Austin. Entrants 29-30 = Billy Gunn and Road Dogg. The Rock works on Billy. Road Dogg helps Vader with Austin. Austin stuns Road Dogg so hard he flies to the outside! The Rock tosses Billy to the outside. Austin and the Rock actually team up to take down Vader and manage to lift him over. It's the Rock and Austin as the final two! The Rock gets in the Rock Bottom to much heat. For the first time ever, the Rock goes for the "Rock's Elbow" (aka People's Elbow). The Rock grabs Austin and throws him to the outside, only for Austin to be saved by the ropes and rolls back in beneath. The Rock thinks he won it till Austin flips him off and lands a huge stunner! Austin throws out the Rock to win the Royal Rumble! Winner: Stone Cold Steve Austin as the No. 1 Contender for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania XIVAustin celebrates as Vince goes nuts almost ripping out his own hair! The stooges try to calm Vince down as he starts to hyper ventilate into a bag! The stooges take Vince to the back with some WWF Officials helping him out as Austin celebrates with beers for the PPV to go off air.

- Austin becomes only the 2nd man in WWF history to win the Royal Rumble Match from the #1 position as the #1 entrant...Austin was the first man in and he was the last man standing outlasting 29 other guys I mean Austin had the odds stacked against him the whole match and he managed to endure with Austin winning his 1st Royal Rumble Match...Austin last eliminating the WWF Intercontinental Champion The Rock who came in at #4 but then again how long was Austin in the match? See we don't know how long he was in the match it would have been nice to know just how much time he was in there for
- Bret "The Hitman" Hart managed to escape with his WWF Championship beating Kurrgan all be it he didn't even pin Kurrgan or even make him submit the match ended in a countout...so that just means that Bret barely survived that match because let's face it Kurrgan had Bret beat hell he was dominating him the whole match
- Shawn Michaels beating The Undertaker in the Casket Match...to retain his WWF European Championship I mean Michaels with his serious injury managed to get the job done but no doubt Michaels has gotta be hurting he has gotta be less than 100 percent after that match but then again big assist goes to Kane because he did cost Taker the match especially when his brother had it won and Michaels rolling Taker into the Casket with Kane locking it and taking it with him and Bearer it begs the question of what did they do with the casket? Where is The Undertaker?
- Ken Shamrock becoming the new WWF Intercontinental Champion beating The Rock...well big assist goes to Faarooq I mean all be it inadvertent help from Faarooq I mean was that Faarooq's plan all along? To cost The Rock the title because that is what he did and the fact that The Rock and the other Nation members didn't beat the holy hell out of Faarooq for that makes me wonder
- Vader beating Goldust...I mean it begs the question of where either man goes from here? Or I wonder if Sable will end up feuding with Mero now?

So basically Austin almost lasted a full hour but lasted only 58:32 especially being the #1 guy out there and outlasting 29 other superstars well Austin is in the main event of WrestleMania 14 but who will be the WWF Champion that he faces? But knowing McMahon & the associates I can't see them making Austin's way to WrestleMania 14 easy which means Austin will probably have to defend his WrestleMania 14 title opportunity at the next IYH PPV knowing McMahon he is going to want to derail Austin somehow

Austin: First of all I gotta say is that I don't give a damn if Mike Tyson wants to be at Wrestlemania, because everyone knows I won the Royal Rumble last night, beating up 29 guys to become the No.1 Contender for the WWF title. But as for you Mike Tyson you need to understand son, you're in my ring and you got no business being in my ring. So why don't you take those beaty eyes of yours and look straight into my eyes because you better leave this ring before I whoop your a$$. Vince: What the hell Austin stop it damn it stop this you have no business... Austin: Shut up, because Mike Tyson needs to hear this. Son if you stepped in the ring with me I'd whoop your a$$ so bad you'll never box again because you know the truth there is no chance in hell that you can beat me and in fact this is what I think of you... Austin flips Tyson, Tyson shoves Austin and all hell is broken loose! Everyone tries to hold them both back and Vince is super pissed that he shouts at Austin that he ruined it and ruined everything. Vince starts to kick Austin too as RAW goes off air.

RAW is WAR January 26th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler
RAW starts off with clips of Mike Tyson's career and his attendance at the Royal Rumble. They even show Tyson celebrating Austin's victory at the Rumble. Last Week's highlights are shown of Austin interrupting and getting shoved by Tyson. A clip is shown as to what transpired after RAW went after air. Tyson wants a piece of Austin at Wrestlemania in a match. Don King will be later making an announcement regarding the possibility of a match even though Austin is still No.1 Contender. Clips are shown from the Media as the WWF is getting much attention because of the event from newspapers to ABC/NBC news. _________________________________________________ RAW opens up with WWF Champion Bret "the Hitman" Hart making his way to the ring with a mixed reaction. Bret: You know last week, I couldn't believe what I saw. I saw the so-called toughest son of a bi$$h walk into the ring like he owns it and insults a guest, a legendary Heavyweight Boxing champion. Give me a break, Austin has been in the WWF for what two, three years? Fu$k you Austin (JR apologizes to the fans), I've been in the WWF for nearly FOURTEEN YEARS! You know I've been holding it all in these past couple of months. I took a lot of bull$hit over the years, but I've never seen a bigger pile of bull$hit then Stone Cold Steve Austin (gets a lot of heat from the crowd). This is a guy who has assaulted Vince McMahon (JR reminds everyone that Bret was the first to do so), Vince is our boss. Vince is the owner, he's the one who brought you into the company, without Vince there would be no Wrestlemanias, hell I wouldn't be standing here with the WWF title around my waist. You need to learn respect Austin, or I'll show it to you. I hope you do face Mike Tyson in a match so I could see your bald head beaten into a bloody pupl and at Wrestlemania, if you still last, I'll be ready for you and make you tap out. Ken Shamrock couldn't make you tap out, but I will...I will....Ken Shamrock (c) def. Mark Henry via DQ to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship
Jeff Jarrett (c) & Barry Windham (w/Cornette) def. The Legion of Doom via pinfall
Vader (w/Luna) def. Goldust (w/Marlena) via Countout
El Pantera def. Brian Christopher via pinfall
The Headbangers def. The Quebecers via pinfallSgt. Slaughter is in the back and trashes DX for all of their antics. He makes an announcement that Shawn Michaels will have to defend his title up against Triple H next week for the European Championship. The New Age Outlaws (c) (w/Rude) def. Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie via DQ to retain the WWF Tag Team Championships
RAW closes off with Boxing promoter Don King who does his famous WWF promo about Austin and Mike Tyson having a possible match. But because it violates the Nevada commission, Tyson cannot wrestle or box at Wrestlemania, but he can show up in another fashion.

RAW is WAR February 2nd, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry LawlerRAW opens with Vince McMahon making his way to the ring with his stooges. "Two weeks ago on RAW is WAR, I brought out Iron Mike Tyson into the ring to give him a warm welcome. But Stone Cold Steve Austin, who had no business came out and ruined everything. I could've been sued by Tyson, I could've had Tyson not want to show up at Wrestlemania, because dammit why would a world renowned boxer like Tyson want to be in a place where a guy like Stone Cold could assault him at any time. But Mike Tyson is a man of his word, he loves the WWF and he will be at Wrestlemania. I have chosen Mike Tyson to become the Special Enforcer in the main event at Wrestlemania. Speaking of the Main Event, Stone Cold Steve Austin won't be in the main event because two weeks from now at the No Way Out in Texas PPV, Stone Cold Steve Austin will have to take on a crazy maniac named Cactus Jack. Cactus Jack has had a long history with the WWF Champion, Bret "the Hitman" Hart and why wouldn't he want a match with the Hitman dammit the Hitman turned him into Mankind! The winner of that match will go to Wrestlemania. But before that, Austin tonight on RAW, you'll have to face Kurgan! (laughs with his goons)
Speaking of Bret "the Hitman" Hart, I was surprised by the kind words he gave about me and about the WWF. Bret you have tenure, you are more than a legend, more than any myth, you truly are the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be and dammit you are a model WWF Champion. You're a role model. You are what the WWF stands for, you are everything I've ever wanted to see in a Champion. You never needed to "take your Vitamins" or "call for the Heavens", so Bret I want to thank you for those words because to me, you're like a son (gets a lot of heat) and I'll make sure one way or another you walk out with the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania XIV."GLASS SHATTERS and Austin makes his way out on the Stage Platform. Austin: First of all I got a lot of respect for the Hitman, but the sob thinks he can take shots at me and what a suck up, because let's be truthful here, Bret is sucking up to you Vince or maybe he is sucking more of you than we realize. Vince: Damn you Austin, damn you to hell. You never deserved to win the Royal Rumble and dammit at No Way Out in Texas, Austin you don't stand a chance against Cactus Jack because I'm going to make a new stipulation. It'll be a HARDCORE rules match. Anything goes, falls count anywhere and by Cactus Jack's side you know is a psycho named Chainsaw Charlie. You don't stand a chance (laughs) Austin: I'll take on anyone at anytime.... Suddenly Cactus Jack runs out with a trash can and smashes it over Austin's head! Jack pummels Austin and throws him into the railings. He continues the assault as Charlie runs out to help and they both beat up on Austin! Austin tries to fight back and Jack DDT's Austin on the steel aisleway as Vince laughs with his goons! Steve Blackman def. Chainz via Submission
Owen Hart def. Billy Gunn (w/Road Dogg) via DQ
Triple H (w/DX) def. Shawn Michaels (c) via pinfall to become the NEW WWF European Champion. The match began with Shawn and Triple H pretending to ready to go at it till Shawn "trips" and hurts his "back". Triple H pins Shawn to win the match. They both laugh it out as Shawn hands over the European title to Triple H. Sgt. Slaughter in the back is seen shaking his head and annoyed by this that he's ordered that the No.1 Contender will be Steve Blackman at No Way Out in Texas. Kurgan (w/Jackyl) def. Stone Cold Steve Austin via Decision. Austin didn't make it for the match as he suffered a concussion from Cactus Jack's attack earlier in the night. Kurgan stands as Jackyl pushes Kurgan as the next Undertaker. He says that Taker is the past and Kurgan is the future. The lights go off, and it looks like Taker is about to come out, but Kane arises behind Kurgan and he chokeslams the big guy! Kurgan still gets up after that till Kane does a flying clothesline bringing him down. Kurgan is up again as Kane is on the outside, with Paul telling Kane he'll get his chance to test Kurgan out soon. Ken Shamrock (c) def. Marc Mero (w/Goldust as "Sable") via Submission to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship. After the match, the Rock runs out and lays the smackdown on Shamrock with the help of NoD with RAW going off the air. No Way Out of Texas: In Your House REPORTTaka Michinoku (c) vs. Pantera for the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship
Jeff Jarrett (c) (w/Cornette) vs. Justin Bradshaw for the NWA NA Heavyweight Championship
The New Age Outlaws (c) (w/Rude) vs. The Quebecers for the WWF Tag Team Championships
Marc Mero (w/Goldust as "Sable") vs. Vader (w/Luna) in Singles competition
Ken Shamrock (c) vs. The Rock (w/NoD) for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
Triple H (c) (w/Chyna) vs. Steve Blackman for the WWF European Championship
Kane (w/Paul Bearer) vs. Kurgan (w/Jackyl) in Singles competition
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Cactus Jack (w/Chainsaw Charlie) in a HARDCORE Match for the No. 1 Contendership for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania XIV

Taker was basically buried alive by Kane and Paul Bearer but he somehow got out of the grave? I can definitely see Taker showing up for WrestleMania XIV it will end up being Brother vs Brother...will the Streak go to 7-0 or 6-1?
I have a feeling it will be Bret Hart defending his WWF Championship against Stone Cold Steve Austin at Mania and in the main event with Tyson as the Special Guest Enforcer it will be interesting to see who Tyson sides with leading up into Mania?
Kane/Kurrgan feud on the way to Kane's eventual feud with Taker...I like it...2 monsters going at it both are unstoppable or have been ever since bursting on to the scene so it begs the question of which monster will finally be stopped

RAW is WAR February 9th, 1998 Hosts: Jim Ross and Jerry LawlerWrestlemania XIV Press Conference (Highlights) taped from February 5th. From the Official All-Star Cafe in New York City. It starts off with fans cheering on the outside for Austin. Vince McMahon is on the podium talking about the extravaganza that is Wrestlemania. Jim Ross welcomes everyone to the Press Conference as Mike Tyson sits on the podium. Steve Austin is brought out as the current No.1 Contender. Followed by Bret "the Hitman" Hart, who has the WWF title with him. Vince: Bret "the Hitman" Hart is a fourteen-year veteran of the World Wrestling Federation and is the current WWF Champion. He will be defending his title at Wrestlemania against the No. 1 Contender. At this time Stone Cold Steve Austin is the current No. 1 Contender and if he is successful on February the 15th at No Way Out of Texas PPV, he will be challenging Bret "the Hitman" Hart at Wrestlemania for the WWF title. I would like to make it official that Mike Tyson's role at Wrestlemania will be as a Special Enforcer in a guest referee capacity. Austin: If you don't know, well you should know my name is Stone Cold Steve Austin and I've been busting my a$$ for eight years to get this opportunity to wrestle for the WWF title at Wrestlemania and you can bet your last dollar that at the No Way Out of Texas PPV, I will walk out the official No. 1 Contender. As for Wrestlemania, this will be a match that I take more seriously than any other match that I have ever had in my life. Professionally Bret Hart, you're perhaps the greatest professional wrestler to have ever stepped in the ring, but personally I think you're a big piece of trash. Bret: Steve Austin is the worst example of what a professional wrestler is. He's no role model for kids. Austin may have beaten up a lot of guys to get here, so I respect that, but as a person he's just garbage because Steve Austin thinks he can do whatever he wants and can get away with whatever he wants. Vince McMahon has worked hard to bring the WWF to where it is today and at Wrestlemania, Steve Austin has never faced the excellence of execution in the ring. Vince talks to the Media answering questions as to how Tyson is the hottest thing in sports today. Mike Tyson answers questions about how he loves the WWF and it's where he wants to be at this point in time. The Media ask about whether they'll get physical with Tyson and Bret says he has no problem with Tyson and believes Tyson will act fairly in the match. Austin says he wishes he can whoop Tyson's a$$ after he's done with Bret. Tyson tells Austin off saying he should be nice to people. Austin: The bottom line is Stone Cold Steve Austin is going to open up a can of whoop a$$ on Bret Hart and he's gonna eat it. Bret: They call Steve Austin the toughest sob in the WWF, well he's never step in the ring with the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Austin gets face to face with Bret and Tyson gets in the way trying to stop them from a fight. Jeff Jarret (c) & Barry Windham def. The Legion of Doom via DQ
The Quebecers def. The Godwinns via pinfall
Taka Michinoku (c) def. Brian Christopher via pinfall to retain the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship
The Rock (w/NoD) def. Trasher (w/Mosh) via pinfall
Steve Blackman def. Recon (w/Sniper) via Submission. Triple H and Chyna watched the match in the back, but don't get involved. Ken Shamrock (c) def. Bradshaw via Submission to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship
