My "Thoughts?" are why are we considering Forbes a reliable source of pro wrestling news?

The brand split has been absolutely terrible.

No. Stop. Just... stop.
I really like the brand split. It makes each show feel unique. Sure neither show is perfect, but I enjoy watching.

yeah right. they make new title belts and blah blah blah just to end it a year or two after it started. Stupid article.

For the record, I was one of the biggest supporters of them splitting the brands again... In hindsight, if they're going to 50/50 book the talent and push jobbers for the sake of making main eventers... I'd rather they cut the dead weight and have one stacked roster from top to bottom, I guess.

While the product isn't particularly great at the moment, it's far better off than pre-brand split.
This gives me a reason to watch Smackdown and gives opportunities to talents who were floundering beforehand like Miz, Jinder, etc. it's a step in the right direction.

If the viewership keeps tanking and the attendance for the shows doesn't improve then yeah they could end it. Maybe they won't end it per se, but raw guys will show up on smackdown and vice versa with no explanation given and the marks will still go crazy for the draft shows.

If the PPVs become dual-brand, that doesn't mean the brand split is done.

Honestly, I'd knock the Pay-Per-Views down to 5-6 total, being dual-branded. Then having RAW and SDL "specials" with big matches once a month/bi-monthly.
It's gotten to the point of booking for ratings, that any Pay-Per-View could easily be a weekly TV show.

The brand split is garbage. 3 hours of raw and it's mostly filler because they don't have enough main eventers. I'd rather end the split and have a 3 hour show worth watching. Then again they would probably need new writers also

i could care less about this brand split or whatever, i just want to see the lower guys compete and be the main eventer and champion for once. Smackdown has done that alot with they're superstars. Baron Corbin won the MITB, Carmella won the Womens MITB also. (yes we all know Carmella and maybe Baron is terrible but its about opportunity)Raw doesnt give anyone opportunity that much. the good thing RAW is doing is looks like Balor might be having a push and same with Joe. Smackdown actually lets the under dogs become big dogs IMO

The split was hard on Raw at the start and generous to Smackdown. Now Raw has rebounded and Smackdown is just as bad as it was before the split. I don't really think it could be called a success to date, given that Raw's ratings have continued to tank and Smackdown has blown almost the entirety of the lead they built over last year's product during the Jinder Mahal months.
With all that being said, this article is hot garbage and is indicative of absolutely nothing.

This isn't WWE and WCW it's WWE Red and Blue and quite frankly it sucks. WWE is a wrestling company so having it split in half is dumb and something I have never supported. Having 2 of each title devalues them and the amount of PPV's is exhausting so I would prefer one strong brand instead of a 3 hour Raw that's half empty and a 2 hour Smackdown that can barely feature it's stars.
From 1997/2002 the WWE only had a 2 hour show and it still managed to feature the entire roster so there is no reason why it couldn't be done with a 3 hour Raw.

It isn't the brand split that's the problem, it's the creative teams for both RAW and SmackDown Live, and Vince McMahon.

I watched 5 hours of raw and smack down this week and in my opinion it pretty much all sucked. The fact smack down is live means ill watch it regardless of weather or not they have an exclusive roster.

The problem with the brand split is that neither side ever really builds new talent.
If a draft or a switch happens, it just means the guys or girls who were in the main events on Raw will now main event on Smackdown and vice versa.
We went from seeing Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz for the IC Title on Smackdown to.... Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz for the IC Title on Raw. Really switching it up for us there!
Alexa goes from being Smackdown Women's Champion to becoming Raw Women's Champion. Which is cool, but really wasn't needed. She could have just stayed on Smackdown and kept the belt there.

the problem isnt the brand split. its too many PPV events, and too much 50/50 booking that helps nobody.
