not a fan of basically forcing me to buy a full scale ring that i dont need or want, just to get a figure of Goldberg.
this will be an absolute pass for me unless it happens to go on clearance and there are a few left.

I have to know if Mattel will make extra accessories for this new scale ring, and if not I'm passing on this. WCT has cages, ring mats/skirts, etc.

Here's my issue. I've got a bad feeling the ropes are gonna be way too low. I like the ASR ropes. They seem perfect to me. However, I'm sensing the ropes are gonna be too low. I'm talking too rope is gonna be in the lower back region. I could be wrong, but I've got a sixth sense about these things.

Uuuugh, I want this Goldberg so bad, but I have absolutely no use or room for the ring. I can see myself caving and buying it anyway.
I understand it as a business decision, but boy do I despise it.

Funny you say that... when I first saw the chairs my first thought was "those figure chairs look more comfortable than my chair that I sit on all day". lol 😊 already got those chairs with the Finn Balor contract chaos set. Yup we get our own exclusives as well. The ring looks smaller than the asr and esr, which is a good thing. |

Same. Funny thing is if both we're sold separately I might have bought both. But the d**k move of packing them together makes me want to skip this set. |

Seriously think this will backfire on them. They think a ton of collectors will buy the ring because they want Goldberg. Ain't nobody spending $100 to get a Goldberg figure.
Parents aren't buying their kids $100 dollar rings either.
Goldberg is one of my top 3 of all time and I ain't budging for this even though I really want an elite 2017 Goldberg. What a shame.

With all the rings Wicked Cool Toys released why would Mattel need to get into the game now!? Let Wicked Cool do their thing, they were doing some good stuff.
That's a jerk move to shove this ring down our throats just to get an Elite Goldberg. I'll be waiting for an Elite WCW Goldberg in the future.

I wonder if it is possible to put the asr turnbuckle pads on this? The plastic turnbuckle pads are the only thing throwing me off about this.

Really disappointed they didn't fix Goldberg's beard... why on earth is it so long!? 😯 He probably had it longer when he was scanned or in whatever reference pics they used to sculpt the head - given how long it's been since we saw the first pics of the set, I'm assuming it was designed a while before he started making WWE appearances. |

The description says "high-quality ring canvas that can be placed on the ring" so I assume it's also cloth. Hopefully this is the scale where we'll finally see Elimination Chamber and Hell in a Cell playsets, because I prefer the basic posts which are far easier to swap out the ropes on.

I want this ring, but only if the support is there for extra ring posts, skirts, and ropes in the future. At SDCC, Bill said "nothing was planned" if I remember correctly. This ring is the ideal form factor, but I'm only plunking down the bread for it if it's supported as THE ring long-term. That will get me to buy one this year, NOT a Goldberg figure. I couldn't care less about a figure that will be available in droves sooner or later -- I'd rather have the option to change the ring to Smackdown, Wrestlemania, The Royal Rumble, 205 Live, NXT, etc. for that price tag. Who the heck wants their ring to say "RAW" all the time? LOL.
This is one thing the ASR has over this -- support. Like I said in my previous posts, pack in the skirts, ropes and posts in Elite figures if possible. Or, partner with RSC like WCT does and sell accessory packs that way. Anything is better than a static ring lol.
Or not.. I'm fine with what WCT offers. Makes me wonder why they themselves don't update the ASR to the modern ring? Did Mattel tell them they can't? What's the deal here?
