So I had this weird thought about how on some of the earlier smackdown video games they would include heads and attired of wrestlers not in the game in create sections allowing you to make guys they couldn't put in the game.
How awesome would it be if Mattel found a way to do this to get out guys we cannot buy? With today's custom options getting a head somehow would allow whole new characters that otherwise will never see the light of day. Thoughts?

I don't understand. I'm not familiar with your reference unfortunately

I don't understand. I'm not familiar with your reference unfortunately So like on smackdown 2 on PlayStation there was a big show head in the create section. I'm saying the figure create a wrestler box sets coukdhave the likeness of a wrestler they can't release and we could use the head for cutomsnof those guys.

Show was signed by then but got put in developmental before the game came out, so they took him out, that's why he had parts in still. Try making a different comparison

they sort of have this…already… and i want more … of the Create a Superstar figures, it seems like they are done with them to some extent so what could be or when would be a good time for them to re-debut them, IF they are definitely done for now but WILL continue? I think, the set that comes with a Sting head sorta has a Goldberg, and the Cena Hip Hop set sorta has a Barack Obama, I don't think though that they would want to much attention for putting out a Lashley head though, where it isn't totally him, but someone could make a … anyway it would be cool to get some kind of new sets of parts for that line

I think the problem with the create a superstar line is that the pieces were a different type of plastic. It didn't really feel the same and was a bit cheaper. As far as accessories go, I really liked the stuff they included as it was things we probably would never get in the other lines. While it had it's flaws, I like it much better thn the tough talkers, zombies and mutants. Wish it would come back personally.

i think the line is great quality, I was thinking about if they re-debuted the line as classic style "make some regular "generic" wrestling looking wresters" and you get enough parts in a set/pack to make like 3 figures and that the difference of them is their skin color/tone. and the difference of the sets is the color of the pieces, one set has the pants sculpt/mold in one color, and another set has it in another, and just put out what they already made, and the only new thing to do is make new generic heads that maybe are creatively resemble someone familiar and includes more classic wrestling accessories like microphones parts to make referees,

I think that is a great idea on the line. As a customizer, I loved the line and wish it would come back, but I doubt that it sold well to anyone other than kids and customizers. They sold really well in my area but people from bigger cities said they warmed hard until they clearanced them out for really cheap. I think it would be a great way to get certain belts in the line as well.

They can't make people they can't make. At all. They can't just go "well we aren't allowed to make Owen figures, so let's just stick his head in a line somewhere and see what happens." Obviously you don't understand how intellectual property works. Everybody who had create parts in Smackdown 1 & 2 were under contract

If they aren't allowed to release someone then they certainly can't legally release a head of that person.

Customisers are a very small minority of their audience. Even if they could do it, it wouldn't be worth it.

I thought it was cool and there were a lot of positive possibilities if it had been done right. Sadly looks like they're finished...but why they have bothered with the zombie/mutant lines completely baffles me. What a colossal waste of time and money.

I bought 1 zombie figure and that was the bray wyatt for the vest only. I refuse to spend money on the mutant line at all. Both of those lines have warmed hard in my surrounding area. 4 walmarts in the area and all 4 look like the pegs haven't been touched in years (as the first line of zombies is still rotting). The kmart 45 minutes away from me had the zombies on sale for $4 a couple weeks back and they still weren't moving when I went in yesterday.

I wondered why they didn't do this from day 1. I understand you cant include someone's head but what about a black and pink singlet for customizers to add some decals and have a Mattel Owen. A muscular frame with trunks and tribal tattoo decals for people to make Saturn.
Things like that.
