So for the 20th anniversary of the nWo I've decided to make a post about it. But what if the nWo we know and love were different? Imagine this instead of Hogan as the third man for the nWo, what if Hogan was the third man for Sting and Randy Savage? What if instead of Hogan turning heel what if were Savage that turned heel? Sure it wouldn't have been as shocking or great as Hogan but I think Savage still could've pulled it off. Savage as the leader would beat The Giant for the WCW Championship, he would later face off against his former friend Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Sting with Hall, Nash, and the nWo Sting. (Remember him?) Til eventually he would fall to Hogan at Halloween Havoc 96 or Starrcade 96. But that's just one alternate leader of the nWo, what if they had gone with their original idea?
Sure just like the above Savage scenario, it wouldn't be as good as Hogan's but still imagine the reaction to it!! Sting's reasoning betray WCW because of the rejects from Stanford running down south to take over and that old man Flair ruining his time in spotlight. However with Hall and Nash he could get his revenge on the WCW fans and the company for not believing in him and
getting Hogan and Savage to boost up ratings, he'd show them. He'd bring up the old WCW gimmicks of Hall and Nash and insult the company for doing it. Sting would take on Giant at Hog Wild '96, defeat team WCW, and either face Savage and win or lose to Hogan at Starrcade '96. I don't know which one they would go with, but if it's the former Sting would probably continue his reign as WCW Champ until Starrcade 97.
But I'm just thinking out loud, who do you think would've been the third man at BATB? And would've the nWo become as popular and a success as with Hogan? Or would it had failed without him. What do you think?
