I received kane, he was the only one I couldn't wait for my stores to get. I was expecting it to be beat up, but nope this card was perfect. I have never seen a retro card this nice.
Very happy. Thanks ringside
I think I will order them all 1 by 1, that shipping box they used fits 1 perfectly and the shipping boxes are pretty strong.

That Goldberg looks great! Anyone spotted any retros at a Target yet? Or know the DPCI for S3?

Same here, I'm at Target a few times a week, and try to check if anything's new, or if they've got pegs for them. I really hope they carry them and do a decent job keeping stocked. If I never need to set food in Walmart again I'll be happy, plus we have a Target card and get 5% off on everything. I also hope Mattel sticks to 4 guys per assortment and evenly packs them, so we don't end up with certain guys sitting around forever like Warrior and Cena from S1 and now as I'm starting to see Rock and Austin from S2.

Awesome work! I'm trying my hand at this as well. Unfortunately, we both just missed a Retro Goldie on eBay for $21 which is as good as it gets right now if you don't want to back order as it until mid December. A couple questions if you don't mind.. 1) I'm having some trouble splitting the Brock torso. How do I go about this without causing scratches/damage? 2) How do I remove Brock's tattoos but maintain the shiny gloss over those areas like you have? Thanks in advance, brother!

How do I go about this without causing scratches/damage? 2) How do I remove Brock's tattoos but maintain the shiny gloss over those areas like you have? Thanks in advance, brother! For starters, when I picked up the Brock at Walmart for this custom, I specifically looked for one that had a loose looking seam on the side. He went through two rounds of hot water. I get two coffee cups filled with water. Put the first cup in for 5 minutes. Immediately pull out of the microwave and put your figure in it. While the figure is warming up, put your 2nd cup in the microwave for 5 minutes. Transfer your figure for another 5 minutes in the 2nd cup. So 10 minutes total in hot water. After that, I just used my box cutter and started right under the arm pits going down on each side. It cracked pretty easy. I didn't even have to go above the arms/shoulder with my knife once the sides were split. I used Oops! remover to remove the tattoos. My method includes two paper towels. One for the Oops! and one with water to remove the Oops. I tear the towel into small pieces and work in about a quarter inch area at a time. Wipe the area with Oops! and immediately hit the area with your water paper towel. The figure did lose a little of the gloss finish though...but I plan I painting some chest hair over that area. The key is to get the Oops off as soon as possible as it will erode/melt/warp the plastic if you leave it on too long. I also recommend wearing gloves during this.

Sounds like a good game plan. My Brock is as solid as a rock. I'll be heading to Walmart for another one, plus Oops!. We are up to our knees in Lesnars here. My Wal-Mart will probably pay me to take one lol. Thanks for the tips!

I added a little bit more detail above about my heating process. I'm not sure if you missed or ignored my question so I'll try asking again: would you mind sharing your belt making process? It's a very long process that took me over 6 months to develop via trial and error. I might do a tutorial one day, but not anytime soon.

The Retros from the Mattel cases are packed very poorly. I'd say the majority of the shipment we received have some kind of imperfection in the cards on most of the figures. If you are unhappy with your figure we would be more than happy to exchange it for you. some have said they are getting them from RSC with no care packing materials from you guys. just putting them in a box to slide around will damage them even more. I was going to order a whole set but worried about what ive been hearing. I brought this up to my post master at the post office. My cards were more than bent and the plastic that holds the figures were coming off the card. He said it wouldn't matter how much the package got thrown around or dinged, if the shipper packed them right, there is no reason they would be that damaged. There was too much room for them to bounce around inside (which is true just a few crumpled up papers inside). 8 figures of series 3 (4 to open 4 MOC) were all messed up bad. With the increase in price you'd think they would take better care of their shipping. I got series 2 out of the box at Walmart when brickseek jumped one night. Every figure I got was absolutely mint.

I'm working on TWO Brocks: one for a Goldberg and one for a Batista. The tattoo removal process is going well and I maintain basically all of the figure gloss using Goo Gone. I used the microwave and two cups of hot water to soften the figure for the torso separation trick, and it DID minimize the damage. The only issue I have is slight seam separation under the arms due to prying. Do you have any sort of method to use to maybe re-heat and pull the plastic back to make the seam look better? Thanks again!

...anyone know the case breakdown for Series 2? Whenever I've seen them in Smyths, there seem to be loads of Rock and Austin, but only 1 or 2 (or none at all!) Kane and Mankind...

I think most people collecting these want the complete set, doesn't make sense to not pack evenly. Maybe from here on out it will be 4 figures per wave, thus 2x per box and hopefully this won't happen anymore?

Well, Wal-Mart finally had Series 2 in stock! (Oxnard, CA) However, I was only able to get 5 out of 6 since Sting was nowhere to be found. I'll feel much better when I find that Sting. Then, I could sit back and relax until Series 3 becomes available.
