how did wwf back get there backdrops for each wrestlers than like macho king has gold with crown hart foundation pink with hearts etc

Like kaneite said green screen technology. If you don't know How or what it is, the wrestler would cut a promo in front of a big bright green screen. After when they would edit they could edit the screen into anything they wanted it to be.

The actual term is chroma key. The WWF was notorious for using this technology from about 1988-1995.

Somewhat similar, in the Something To Wrestle With interview with Bruce Prichard about Survivor Series 1990, Bruce said the Series photos of all four guys were actually single or tag pictures spliced together via the photoshop-like technology of the day. Mind blown!!
