I think they've realized that the last hour loses ratings no matter who is in the main event. So they're using the old SNME strategy and putting the stars on earlier.
Just a theory.

I think that is it too, but maybe if they have the big stars in the main event it will give people interest to keep watching?

I honestly don't know if there are words to describe how bad this show was.

Yikes what a horrible show. It didn't really do anything to get you excited for Summerslam. They essentially gave the main event away on free TV. You know at some point in the match, Lesnar will get taken out and it'll be the 3 of them for 20 minutes. I still have hope for the match though, just wish they didn't do this match tonight.
Bayley is so cold as a character. She gets no reaction whatsoever. They should send her back to NXT in this rumored shakeup.
Weird decision to close with Enzo and Cass and there wasn't really any payoff. How many times do we have to see Cass boot Enzo
I was at Summerslam last year, and while the show wasn't great, I was still excited for it leading up to it. But I'm honestly glad I'm not going this year. Nothing compelling at all besides the main event.

Anyone else find it weird that Jason Jordan calls his dad Kurt?

I thought that was a pretty good Raw for the first two and half hours. Then it went downhill fast and hard. Sums it up perfectly.

So how was Raw? terrible like usual? I wouldn't know as I was watching some classic NWA from the 80s.

This Cass/Enzo/Show angle is freaking awful.
Also, lol at Cass' music and his reaction.

Raw sucked fat balls. Breaking up Enzo and Cass was a monumental mistake.

I was there live. Crowd was dead after the triple threat, no reason that shouldn't have been the main event.
Third Raw I've been to that featured Lesnar and just like the other two, he didn't do anything except stand there. I was hoping he would come back out after the triple threat and suplex Reigns, Strowman, and Joe afterwards.
Roman got the most heat of the night, just goes to show how much of a failure he is as a face.

I hate all the matches that have ads in the middle of them - you know for the first half of the match nothing is going to happen.
I fast forward on DVR, so I'm not watching those ads anyway. But when it makes half of a worthless match even more worthless, well, that makes these shows meaningless and skippable.
But cutting pyro and tons of ads and three hours means more money for the suits, right? It's too bad the WWE sold out and became soulless.

I was wondering while watching, if they are doing this on purpose to try to kill the 3rd hour of Raw and get USA to agree to go back to 2 hours if they see ratings plummet. Id want to believe that over someone believing that Big Show vs. Cass main eventing is the match everyone was waiting to see. On another note Cass's push is failing just about as fast as anyone not named Vince could have expected. Somehow they managed to make his entrance music worse, his walk to the ring looks incredibly dumb, and his matches are worse than torture. This whole triangle of Show/Cass/Enzo is stupid and I honestly can't see what any of them have to look forward to after Summerslam. On the flip side, Im pleasantly surprised and intrigued to see where they go with Jason Jordan. I still loathe the whole Kurt Angle is my Father storyline but the guy has a huge upside imo, and could be someone marketable if they don't phase him out after the initial buzz dies down. Also Miz can make a star out of just about anyone. That guy may just be the most valuable asset Raw has at the moment. Dragged Axel and Dallas up from the abyss, re-made guys like Ziggler and Ryder last year, and now making Jordan look like a million bucks.

If Lesnar laves at Summerslam, he'll definitely be back. If he leaves and beats Jon Jones in a UFC superfight for the UFC Title, there's no way WWE wouldn't want him back on their programming with the mainstream attention he'd be getting. Plus, there's just no way Vince wont want Roman to go clean over the reigning UFC Champion at Wrestlemania. Part of me thinks that this could all be a swerve though and Lesnar will still win at Summerslam. If he is to fight Jones, it likely wouldn't happen until early 2018 anyway, and with all the speculation going around at the moment regarding UFC & Lesnar, I think the WWE could well be playing up to it. It's a big gamble on WWE's part though, as there really isn't much point in him returning to the WWE if he loses to Jones. The chance to have WWE Champion vs UFC Champion on the WWE's biggest show is something that would truly be once in a lifetime media attention for the WWE.

its just mind-boggling that the WWE brass thought it was a great idea to split up one of their hottest babyface acts in years, to turn the big guy heel, and then have him just beat the ever loving hell out of the little guy, then wrestle big show a couple times.
WHO BOOKED THIS CRAP

The TV revenue is by far their strongest revenue stream.

I think there's a lot of built in Smackdown bias to people's weekly reactions to Raw.
Granted, last night wasn't particularly good, but, it wasn't all that awful up until the back half of the third hour. A lot of the time, I think people turn Raw into a self-fulfilling prophecy - it's going to be bad, or at least inferior to Smackdown. In reality, I think it's pretty easy to say Raw has been objectively better than Smackdown for months. Neither show is fantastic, but Raw is doing more with the talent they have, even crippled by the additional hour that is largely just filler.

Only caught highlights of the triple threat and thought it was great - Braun and Joe looked especially great in there.
Sadly there's nothing to say about Cass that hasn't been said already.
