I've got the first DM Warrior from when it came out. I can't even remember where I got it from but I think I paid about £28. I know I got it online. I also got Elite 3 HBK, RSC Macho King and NWO Macho from around that time. Those are pretty much the only Mattel figures I had until last Xmas when I started collecting again. I wish I bought the DM Macho Man back then too!

I remember not buying the first few Defining Moments because i thought it was the Entrance Greats without the music stand. As soon as I found out they were elites instead of basics, i picked them up.

It was in the last DM series that they did before they cancelled it years back so yes it probably had a limited run and I really don't remember seeing it in stores. They actually cancelled the DM series before it with Rey and Macho and released Bret and Cena and that was it for DM's until 2015.

I remember seeing 10s of them at Big Lots for $13 each back in the day, I had to buy mine from RSC originally, since series 3 and 4 killed the line at retail and 5 pretty much only showed up at Big Lots later on(in my experience), along with Legends 2.. Same, but at ROSS for $5... wish I bought them all now.

Reading this makes me wish I got all the ones I seen for 9.99 at marshalls when I first started collecting but I only bought enough for my legit collection no doubles. 😭😭😭

That would be great. I'd still take a king three pack before that. Harley Race, Haku and Duggan. With a crown, scepter and robe they can all share For a $50 3 pack and how plain each of their attires were, they all should come with at least the crown and robe. Especially since they'd likely make it a plastic robe. I just want the figs, I think a cloth robe is the way to go. Quality over quantity

Imagine having a closet full of $10 DM Bret Hart figures. Sell one a week for $150 MOC. It could easily support your figure collecting for a few years

I remember when it was still readily available online and not all that sought after. I bought one from a third-party seller on Amazon for $24 shipped in March 2013. I wasn't sure if it was worth it then, but I knew I had to have it. Bret's run after he came back at Survivor Series 1996 was one of the greatest ever. Had it been anyone else from any other time period, I probably would have passed because it was "too much", but I can always make an exception for The Hitman.

I'm tempted to sell or trade mine now lol. I actually had bought a 2nd one to keep in box just because I like the look of the figure but it's just sitting there in storage now. I had an extra Diesel too I decided to sell because it was in storage as well. I never buy any duplicates, but the Diesel was for trade originally, and Bret because it looked cool

Wow, I didnt know it was so valuable. A friend of mine just gave it to me when he had to move out of his old place. I had just started collecting at that point maybe a week or two before, so I was pumped to have it. Love that jacket.

Wouldn't hate a Canadian Stampede TNF 3 pack. Re-release Bret and Bulldog in their HF Jackets and give us Anvil for the first time. That would be great. I'd still take a king three pack before that. Harley Race, Haku and Duggan. With a crown, scepter and robe they can all share I want The Brood. Oh man do I want The Brood.

If only I knew then what I know now lol

We really need a lot more Brets, such a riches of attires to be made between 93-99. Falls into that category of Savage, Warrior, HBK & Ric Flair where you could make endless versions because they changed their attire so much.
Another point, the DM doesn't get enough credit. Mattel was the first company to properly make a Bret Hart without missing out deco or just making a mess of it (complex attires her wore later in his career I mean). Jakks, ToyBiz and OSTM all left out major parts of his tights designs.
This perfect deco is remarkable and expertly made.

I remember thinking that when I first got the fig, I always noticed something missed out on w every former Bret (usually the small hearts on the leg) or using a totally different skill on the back of his tights that wasn't the actual design. The DM is as close to a perfect Bret we've ever gotten

Do you remember the OFSTM version, it had the mall hearts down both sides of the legs. Never understood how people could look at a picture and still get it wrong

I never saw the DM Bret Hart at retail. When people started seeing it at Big Lots stores I checked every Big Lots I could find....never saw it.
Luckily I was able to get a couple of this figure when Ringside had all those loose figures for sale a few years ago. Got one displayed with the Hart Foundation in my 1997 era display and one displayed with the NWO on my WCW shelf.
