I feel as if 2008 is very underrated. Now, this could be me being a fan boy of Edge. I became a fan in May 2008, when my older brother had it on the TV. But with the WWE Network I can reflect much more. All the continent from SmackDown was real good, although after the My50 move it got tad bit worse. But I feel we had some amazing storylines. Jericho/HBK, Edge/Taker, Punk's title reign until they ended it so quick, JBL/Cena continued, etc. Although to be honest I would much rather tune into SmackDown. But, Raw did have some great episodes building to Summer Slam.
Do you feel 2008 is underrated?

Definitely agree there was a lot of great feuds that year, Jericho/Micheals being my favorite. I would watch Raw just to see Jericho.

My only main gripe, is Punk's World Title reign. I would of had Punk go over at Unforgiven. And some how slightly link Punk into the HBK/Jericho feud for a month. Having Jericho become 1# contender for Punk's title at No Mercy, Micheals screws over Jericho. Leading to Triple Threat for Cyber Sunday, have Jericho go over. Jericho/HBK's ladder match in this reality is at Survivor Series. Jericho goes over, Cena's return is pushed off to Royal Rumble 2009. Cena comes back and takes the belt off Jericho at Royal Rumble. That's just me.

2008 had this underrated team in the booth so I'd say it wasn't a bad year.

I liked 08 until the Summer time. Once we got to that point, the only good thing was the Jericho/Michaels angle (which had a slow burn starting as early as April anyway)

It was the last year I enjoyed WWE. It was kind of a weird transition period, not really Ruthless Agression Era but not really PG Era either. I tend to call the period from Fall 2007 to Wrestlemania 25 The Age of Orton.

Compared to he 2007 year, the 2008 year looks like a dream year for wrestling, feuds and such.
I did like the 2008 year though, I was just thinking about it today as a matter of fact. I didn't even mind 2009 either though.

I feel the Raw's leading to WrestleMania 25 were really good. Although I wasn't thrilled with PG DX. 2009-2010 were the peak of the PG Era following the PG rules. But, 2009 and hell even at instances 2010 was good.

The last hardcore thing the WWE did was when HHH broke into Randy Orton's house and threw him through the front window.

It feels so weird reading people say that they only started watching in 2008 or whatever. I've been watching since around 97-98 and couldn't imagine only tuning in years later or being too young to have lived through the Attitude era.
Looking back it definitely had some great feuds, matches and PPVs, but it's not an era I'd ever go back to or look back fondly on as 'the good old days'. I feel the same way about most years after 2005.

You got into it at a very amazing point in Pro Wrestling history.

That Jericho vs Michaels feud was as well booked as any wrestling angle ever imo. Its a wrestling booking masterclass. Slow burn, and man did it get white hot after Summerslam!

I use to be such a knitt picky fan that I noticed WWE switched to Silver Ring Posts slowly during the year for more and more events.
